Why this reason for going vegetarian?!

Question: Why this reason for going vegetarian!?
why do people use the reason "because I love animals"!? I mean, the animal is already killed so they don't have to kill it themselves!. I'm an animal lover myself, but i love eating meat!. the animal is going to die anyways & most of them are killed humanely (there are farms that do abuse their animals but I don't encourage supporting that!.!.!.) !.!.!. i just don't see the logic in it

*note: I don't care about the fact that you are vegetarian, that is your own personal choice that you made for your own body!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think the logic with the 'I love animals' reason is this: the less meat-eaters there are, the less demand there'll be for meat!. If there's less demand for meat, then producers (farmers or larger companies) won't need to supply as much!. The amount of animals they need to kill will be lower!.

Or maybe they love animals so much that they can't bring themselves to eat meat, knowing what it once was!.

FWIW, I'm vegetarian for health reasons, not out of any particular fondness for animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not a vegetarian because i don't have the will power to be one!. But my brother is because of our religion!. We are Hindus and in Hinduism you cannot kill an animal or as the case may be eat an already dead animal!. My brother does not force his views on any one!. His wife is not vegetarian and he doesn't have a problem with that!. You wouldn't believe at how many vegetarians out there!. And all vegetarians get a bad name from a few who decided to go global with there views on vegetarianism!. For all the people out there who generalise I wish you would not!

Here is a link as to why people may go vegetarian!. The site has nothing about religion, but religion is a major aspect too!. Hope this helps!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can't tell me that all animals are treated humanely because there are people who do treat them bad but you can't tell me that everyone treats them inhumanely either!. I love eating meat and I respect people who decide they can't or don't want to, but you can't tell me that all the animals are abused and that the companies don't treat them well at all!. I just hate the tactics that some of the groups use and that is to take all the bad examples and not look at the other side of it, it's really them trying to scare you into not eating meat anymore!. Some make a conscious choice not to, but don't try to tell me that everyone abuses animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i know the animal is already dead and not eating it doesn't affect this, but in being a vegetarian i am not supporting a disgusting abusive industry i don't agree with!. if you think animals are not abused during their lives, i assume you buy free range meat!? because other than that there is no way you can know, and even if the animal is not physically abused by the farmers etc, it will still be living a life that is not its own!. animals deserve to make their own choices (no matter how basic they are) just as we do, and we are not here to play god!.

and on your point about not having the kill the animal yourself, most vegetarians would probably agree that that would make the meat eating a lot more bearable!. it's pretty hypocritical if you support an industry and consume their products that kills and abuses animals if there is no way you could do it yourself!. the only sort of meat eating i fully agree with is eating hunted meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The animal dies BECAUSE people eat it!. If we didn't eat it, it wouldn't be killed!. It's not "going to die anyways" if nobody is killing it for food!. See my point!? Don't worry we know that by abstaining from meat we're not going to save EVERY animal because other people still kill and eat animals, but as individuals we are saving the lives of a few animals by doing our part!. When you eat meat, whether you killed it yourself or not, it was still killed for you, because you're supporting the market!. So that doesn't make you innocent!. Oh and the majority of animals are NOT killed humanely and they suffer while they are alive!.

Come on you have to see the simple logic here!. I'm a vegetarian for other reasons but I still see the connection between animals dying and people eating them!. I don't personally care what you eat, but if you are eating meat, animals are being killed for you!. Don't pretend otherwise!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In the U!.S!. most animals are NOT killed humanely!. Nor are they killed on "farms!."

Slaughterhouses are dangerous, filthy, horrific places, with the highest employee turnover rate of any industry, and one of the highest rates of injury!. They are poorly run, badly managed, and give little thought to the "humane" treatment of their EMPLOYEES!. They certainly are not concerned about the animals!.

Because the animal is created by humans for human consumption!. The more vegetarians there are, the less animals will be created for food in the future!. They aren't trying to save the animals that already exist (although some do try to save animals that exist already) they are trying to spare future animals suffering!. If they create 100,000 less cows 5 years from now, that's 100,000 cows that won't suffer!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

i'm sure you understand the concepts of supply and demand!.

if more people demand meat then more cows will be killed to supply!. but if more people choose to not eat meat that will lower the demand and in turn lower future supply!.

being a vegetarian means that one less person is going to the store to buy meat!. that also means that one less cow will be killed in the future!.

also many animals are raised and then killed cruely!. they live in too small cages and are fed poor diets, and are beaten and battered!. then they are hung and have their throats sliced!. many people do not want to contribute to such horrible facilities!. there is nothing wrong with that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sorry! Your living in wonderland!. Most animals are killed by hanging them upside down and slitting their throats open and wait for them to bleed to death!. Pigs can not ever turn around 360 degrees in their tiny little cages(image how mental that would make you)!. Chickens are overcrowded and frequently get sick and injured!. No vets are around so they eventually die either from the sickness or because they were too weak to reach the the food and water

I would say the only meat animals that are killed humanely come from small organic farms!. Not too much meat does come from those places if your buying at the grocer!.

im a vegetarian becauses of what the amimals suffer!.
no animal should have to be killed that way, especially just to feed us!.
meat isnt all that healthy!. and all the food they fatten up the animals with could be used to feed all the starving in the africa and other countries!. www!.peta!.orgWww@FoodAQ@Com

i am not a vegetarian but once i got married and started having to cook raw chicken etc!.!.the thought did cross my mind!.!.but then the thought didnt last long when the barb q chicken rolled off the grill!.!.it was in my tummy!.

people do weird things all the time!.!.who kows why anyone does what they do!?or force their opinions on others!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Is not always about animals!. Some people just feel meat is dirty(bacteria) or too expensive!. Even though veggie can be contaminated, green food repairs, replenishes, detox and gives you all the nutrients you need to keep your immune system strong and healthyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Well!.!.!.
Some people look at animals differently than you do!. I love my dog, but just because he is dead doesn't mean I want to eat him!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
