Do we vegetarians hae to eat tofu?Can't we just stick to fruit ad veggies?!

I'm not a vegetarian, but I have had dinner at vegan's and vegetarian's houses and depending on the cook, some meals have been delicious!.
The important thing for a vegetarian is to make sure that you have access to vitamin B12, usually found in meat, fish and dairy products!. Tofu is a good source of protein, but there are many others!. Nuts, especially peanuts, and various pulses such as beans and chickpeas also contain a lot of protein and can be transformed into very appetising food!.
Tofu, untreated is actually pretty tasteless, and can only be interesting to eat if it has been sufficiently marinated!.
If you are not a vegan, be sure to consume plenty of dairy products such as eggs and cheese!. Eggs especially contain an enormous amount of protein!.
If you are a vegan, then you can get vitamin B12 from Marmite, Vegemite or any other type of yeast extract!.

You do not have to eat tofu, some vegetarians enjoy the taste and variety it offers, and others do not!. Tofu is a good source of protein, which is why so many vegetarians choose to eat it!. However, there are other sources of protein besides tofu(quite a few), and you can eat those instead!. Protein is in just about everything, so there is no need to worry about that!.

You don't have to have tofu but you do need lots of different sources of protein!. If you want something that resembles meat while you are making the transition try Quorn or soya mince!. Health food shops also often sell tins of 'vegetarian chicken' which is made of gluten which doesn't sound particularly appetising but is in fact very nice!.

You need some protein sources!. Tofu is a great product (from soybeans) because it can easily absorb flavor!. I am def!. not a veggie, but for parties etc I usually do a couple dishes!. Lots of comments / questions on What was that - its good!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ok i am a vegetarian too and i hate tofu i only like this sushi called inari that has sweet tofu and sweet rice its tre delish lolololz i personally dont eat tofu and i dont know why ppl think all vegetarians eat tofu all the time !!Www@FoodAQ@Com
The reason that soya bean products such as tofu are recommended is because they supposedly have the 7 essential proteins or amino acids that adultss require however two complimentary sources can do the same job!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
