Here's whats going on with your body:
Much like drugs, the moment you stop putting the filth that is meat, diary and egg into your system, your body goes into detox and begins to expel all of the bad stuff!. I was 11 when, at my urging, my family and I switched to an all vegan lifestyle; I got so ill from the toxins leaving my system that I puked for three days!. How you ate before you switched will determine the amount of harsh detox your body experiences!. And this is what the back pain is!. It is simply your body fighting off the bad ish you used to put into!. Though the first few months are the roughest, it will get better and soon your body will thank you for choosing to be so nice to it!. And the animals already thank you!.
I would recommend getting a natural pain killer (which you can find at your local Whole Foods or Wild Oats) if it becomes too intense!. I would also recommend drinking more water than usual for awhile and taking a multi-vitamin until you figure out what your body needs and how much!. I would also warn against eating massive amounts of soy!. Try to eat Broccoli and Spinach instead, they both have tons of protein!. Beans and nuts do as well!. You can go to vegweb!.com for tons of yummy recipes!. Just keep pushing a long, as I said, this will be the hardest time!. It will get easier!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your question was!.!.!. "I have a question about pain on my back(P!.S!. I want to know if it is due to my veganism)!.!.!. !?"!.!.!. then later on you said!.!.!. "it is rather painful!.!.!. Please DO NOT comment on saying it is because i am vegan and killing myself or what have you!."!.!.!. So I don't really know how to answer you but this is a common symptom of malnutrition!. It's possible to be vegan and healthy but very hard!. I suggest changing your ways and consuming meat!.!.!. or see a very good nutritionist who can advise your vegan habit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well, I'd say make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need!. You are still growing, so you have to be careful!. You are most certainly not killing yourself being vegan, it is an extremely healthy choice!. I'd say talk to your doctor!. I doubt that a pain in your back is being caused by your diet!. idk, all i know is that i became vegan a week ago and my back hurt yesterday, but that might be because my dog and cat left me very little room on my bed!. haha!. I'm only 14, but i think it might be lack of vitamins!. I have to remind myself to take vitamins everyday!.

read that, make sure you are getting plenty of calcium and other vitamins!.
you might have to see your doctor for vitamin shots!. i hate to tell you this but you might have to introduce some form of dairy into your diet, sounds like calcium deficiencyWww@FoodAQ@Com

It could be because you are dehydrated!. Drink more water!. Are you eating a balanced diet, or just not eating meat!. Some new vegans I know just stop eating the meat, milk, etc and do not try new foods to replace the old ones!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Honey, you need to get to a doctor, NOW!. you haven't been a vegan long enough to blame any problems on the diet!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have the same pain you described and I'm a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Get your self checked out by going to the GP, who could test your urine for several easily treated ailments!. If you join the vegetarian society or just look at their web pages, I am sure you will find ways to make sure you have a balanced diet!. Try not to become self-righteous and put others off becoming a veggie later, it is so tempting once you learn all about suffering to go on a campaign on converting everyone, but I would just keep your head down until you have lots of knowledge and wonderful recipes first!. If you are a girl remember to eat things with zinc in, like pumpkin seeds as this helps to metabolise iron (so you don't get tired and anaemic)!.
I just had a funny thought, is this lower back pain, due to looking up nutritional ideas on the Internet on a stupid uncomfortable chair!? Always time yourself and take regular breaks, go for little walks, have a drink, but don't just sit looking at a monitor for hours trying to find information, without listening to what your body is saying to you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
