I need assistance with the category of veganism/vegetarianism I would fall under...?!
Okay, I consume no meat, poultry, or fish!. I wear no clothes that are by-products of animals!. I do not use furniture that are by-products of animals!. I do not consume gelatin products, or honey!. The thing is!.!.!.I consume eggs and dairy!. I've looked into this a few times, and I'm aware there is such a thing as a semi-vegan, and that's what I've believed I am!. Can I be considered a semi-vegan!?
also, about eggs, they are not yet chicks upon consumption, so they do not feel anything, yes!? I mean, it's not like I'm harming them, right!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You're not a semi-vegan, as that's like being a little bit pregnant!. You're ovo-lacto vegetarian who doesn't use animal products in her daily life!. And gelatin is not vegetarian, so I'd hope no one calling herself vegetarian eats gelatin!.
Vegans avoid eggs because of the treatment of the hens!. Check out www!.eggindustry!.com!. The eggs are not fertilized and will never become chicks, but that's not why we avoid them!. And we avoid dairy because of how the cows are treated and that the sons of dairy cows go off to the veal crates!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd just say you're a vegetarian!. You're definitely not a vegan - vegans don't eat eggs or milk, but some do eat honey!. Just say that you're a vegetarian who doesn't use leather and doesn't eat honey!. Not eating gelatin is pretty standard for vegetarians!. The only thing "weird" about your choice is not eating honey!. Many vegetarians don't feel comfortable using leather products!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I guess you would be a semi vegan, but why do you not consume honey but you consume dairy!? That doesn't make sense!. It doesn't hurt the bees to eat honey!. The eggs that we consume are unfertilized therefor if you were to leave them they would NEVER become chickens!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Lacto-ovo vegetarian!.
I am one was well!. We do not consume gelatin, and most of us don't use animal clothes/furniture!. The honey thing is the only thing that brings you closer to veganism!. You're a lacto-ovo who doesn't like honey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarians, on the whole, don't eat gelatin or buy leather (although I considered myself a vegetarian for years and it didn't even occur to me that leather was skin, d'oh)!. So you're pretty much a vegetarian who doesn't like honey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
honestly, i would stay away from a category!.!.!. if need be, sure, you can be a semi-vegan, but i think you would be better off just stating (if it comes up) that you dont eat meat!.!.!. no need for a label!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should tell folks you are an "ovo-lacto" vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Vegetarian!. Semi-vegan doesn't exist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You're a vegetarian that's a bit stricter than most!. That's all!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Call yourself whatever you want!. There is no such thing as a semi-vegan!. Vegans consume no animal products!. Period!.
You are simply a vegetarian!. Call yourself ovo-lacto vegetarian if you wish, but since most vegetarians consume eggs and dairy, "vegetarian" will suffice!.
The problem with eggs- even free-range- is the disposal of unwanted male chicks!. Because males don't lay eggs and do not grow fast enough to be raised for meat, they are deemed a financial liability, except for the few (less than 10%) used as studs!. The rest will be killed by the cheapest means available, including suffocation and being ground up alive!.
There is no special designation for someone who eats eggs and dairy, but doesn't buy leather, wool, honey etc!.!.!. just like there isn't a word for someone who eats meat, but doesn't buy leather!.
Try not to get hung up on the labels!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
