Question: When are battery farms !?
due to be banned!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
In Many European countries, battery farms are supposed to be outlawed by January 1, 2012!. The law was passed several years ago but they are giving the chicken companies time to adjust to the new rules!.

In California, Prop 2 will be voted on on Nov!. 4!. If the bill passes, by 2015 battery cages will be banned within the state of California!. Arizona and Florida have passed similar measures!.

Worldwide battery farms are becoming much more of a problem!. Factory farming is starting to show up in East Asia and parts of Africa where it was unusual before!. This means that much more suffering and disease will come out of this situation!. But hopefully people will learn soon that civilized societies should not exploit the weak!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sadly,i don't believe they will totally ban them all!.

You see its a cheap way of getting eggs, meat etc,to the masses of people who don't give a fig about animal welfare!.

And if people had to pay twice as much or more for their food, they would rebel, and the u!.k government doesn't want that!.

And most politicians are meat eaters,so they wont try too hard methinks!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not in the near future, due to the state of the economy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When enough people stop buying battery eggs!. They will then go out of business!. But that could take a long time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

not sure they will they will probably just regulate more thats there solutionWww@FoodAQ@Com

I don't see it happening in my life time!. Not in America, sadly!.

Until another economically viable way of producing poultry and its related products is invented - then we,re stuck with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Never hopefully, or I won't be able to use my torch any more!.
