All dairy cheese contains lactose!. In order to avoid it you should try soy, veggie, or rice cheese which is available at most supermarkets and health food stores!. You will probably be able to find it near the health food section and meat alternatives!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes Lactose is the "sugar" in Milk it also has Casein the protein in milk!.
That being said If you are Lactose intolerant there are alternatives, Veggie based cheeses R ice, Soy, Almond read the label to make sure they do not have lactose most do have Casein!.
also Goat(not just Feta)Cheese & Sheep Cheese has a different smaller components & many people can eat it that who can not Cow Cheeses!. Alta Dena has Raw Goat Cheese that I as allergy sufferer can tolerate in small amounts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cheese is made from milk and bacterial cultures (gross to think about, but tastes sooooo good ^_^) heated and left to settle, pressed into shapes if you like!.
