A question on girls' development on a veggie diet?!
Can a vegetarian diet slow down a girl's physical development!? Or not!?
I mean, I've heard that nowadays many girls' fast and early development may be due to meat and hormones in it!. So if a girl is vegetarian, at puberty-adolescent stage, will she develop later than the girls raised on an omnivore diet!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been a vegan since I was a young child and I developed normally!. I got my first period at 13, which is around average and is considered normal!.
I think that there could be something up with those who eat meat and become fertile at like around age 8!. Doesn't sound normal to me!.
Then again, I don't have any research figures on this!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, it's likely, by a number of years or more, from the small amount of studies done on this subject!. Because hormones are present in many cattle feeds and get concentrated in animal tissues as you've suggested, eating foods with these in can rapidly speed up early physical development!.
Some experts have become very concerned about this earlier development: the bodies of many children seem to be maturing before their brain and mental development has caught up, which can obviously lead to big problems in some cases!. Fair to say from the current evidence that a veggie diet based on whole plant foods is more likely to slow this process to the rate it was previously!. Hopefully body growth occurs then more in line with the brain and mind's development as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A vegetarian diet can delay the puberty!. Hormones play a huge factor on when a child gets her first period!. As you said, many meat products have hormones in them!. That's why we see girls developing at the age of 9!. Along with artificial hormones, body fat also produces more natural hormones!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
if you consume dairy you can cut off meat!.
I'm not sure about the meat quality over there, i have never heard about girls getting periods at 8-9 years old!.!.!. that's awkward!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

they will develop at the NATURAL rate instead of the sped up rate due to hormone intake from meat!.

No!. My daughter blossomed quite nicely on a non hormone diet!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Probably!. Humans need to eat meat because we are omnivores!. All vegetarians that I have seen look anorexic because they don't have protein in their diet from not eating meat!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
yes failure to thrive is an actually medical condition!. Meats have essential nutrients not easlily or not at all found in vegies!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
