What to do with Tofu?!
I want to eat healthier without buying a bunch of random, I don't know what this is, sauces/spices!. What are some easy ways to make tofu taste good as a side dish or main dish!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Think of tofu as a blank slate!. It has very little flavor on its own, so you can use spices and sauces in all kinds of ways!.
For example:
1!. Marinate firm tofu in Italian dressing and then add it to pasta sauce for an Italian dish;
2!. Go with cumin, chili powder and garlic for a Mexican cuisine taste;
3!. Experiment with Asian herbs and spices
4!. substitute silken tofu for yogurt with granola and fruit for breakfast
5!. Fry (yes, FRY) extra firm tofu with spices for a hamburger replacement!.

Well, you need sauces and spices to make tofu taste good, as it has no taste on its own!. Tofu absorbs the flavors of what you cook with it!. Now, you can put some cornmeal or flour on a plate, toss in what seasonings you have on hand, dredge the tofu in that and fry, but that won't be terribly exciting!.

sprinkle soy sauce on it
microwave it
the more you cook it the firmer it gets
all the way from barely warm to brown/dried tofu chips
or something else
freeze it
when you thaw it out, it;s like a total sponge

i love tofu always cook from frozen as defrosting it makes it too soft
a little oil/butter hot not tooo hot put it in stir add a few fresh tomatoes
herbs no salt =turn the heat down half let it go brown as this gives it a lovely flavour turn heat off cover and all done creamy mash potatoes veg ==a glass of w/wine lovely oh dont forget a little greavy

fry tofu, fry some pork, After both are cooked mix together in a separate bowl, add little bit of balsamic vinegar, little salt and pepper and little bit of onions!.

You can make fried rice, but instead of meat use tofu!. You can also make hot and sour soup or pad thai with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
