Answers:
Peanut butter, it is delicious, cheap, and full of protein!.
Then there are vegan ramens: Top Ramen has a chile and an oriental variety that are vegan!.
Of course rice and beans are cheap, and can be made in many delicious ways!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is cheaper than ramen!. It's spiced lentils, known as dahl or daal or dal!. It's an indian food!. If you like curry you'll like it!.

Anyway, cook some brown rice while you're cooking this, as the dahl will top the rice!. Fry onions (you should be able to buy big bags cheaply) in some olive oil!. Add a tablespoon of garlic, a tablespoon of whole cumin seeds until they're toasty, then add a can of tomatoes, 3 cups of water, 1!.5 cups of red lentils, and let it simmer away for like an hour or two until they are soft and fully absorbed the water!.

If you have hard water you can add some lemon juice or vinegar to make sure they don't come out hard but the tomatoes should usually take care of that!.

Near to the end, taste it, you probably want to add more cumin (you can use powder this time if you want, since it won't be toasting) and add a good tablespoon of your favourite curry powder, you can just use anything you find in the store and it should be fine, and definitely vegan!. Depending on how salty the canned tomatoes were, you may want to add more salt!.

If you want it spicy, add green chilis that are well chopped, just add to taste since everyone varies in how spicy they like stuff I don't wanna say how many, I'll usually use 1 or 2!.

This is sooooo cheap and very good and nutritious!. The amount I made is probably!.!.!.!.!. 4-6 servings!? Not sure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why don't you make some lentil soup, or lentil and rice stew!? The ingredients are pretty inexpensive!. They are more expensive up front than ramen, but if you make a big pot of soup, it can last you all week, which ends up being very economical and very handy!. I made lentil soup last night, this is the recipe I used!. It turned out really well, and it serves 4-6!. Which means if it's just you eating it, this can be a healthy meal that you can have on hand for six days a week!. Divide the small cost over each bowl of soup, and it will be very inexpensive!. Plus if you buy all the ingredients, you will not use them up on the recipe - you will be able to use the remainder for other great recipes!.

There is also a ton you can do with rice and bean dishes!. Rice is so versatile!. Use brown rice, wild rice, or quinoa, as they have more fiber and protein!. White rice has very little nutritional value!. Rice pilaf is one of my favorite dishes!. So easy, delicious, and hearty!. Again, it may cost a bit more to make up front, but it can last for a few great, healthy meals throughout the week!.

Another great, inexpensive meal - oatmeal! A wonderful, healthy, high fiber breakfast food that is hearty and will keep you full, at very little cost!. Have it with some raisins sprinkled over it and a banana for some great morning nutrition!. Lunch could be a thermos or bowl of soup, and dinner could be a rice dish, salad, or pasta!.
