Vegan Snack Bars, Convenient Foods?!

Question: Vegan Snack Bars, Convenient Foods!?
I've recently started a vegan diet!. I make it a point to eat healthy, and choose snacks and portable meals that reflect that!. A good example is Tasty Bite's Indian cuisine, which is usually vegan (or at least vegetarian) and is made with regular ingredients that we can all recognize!.

With the vegan switch, I'm just curious if there are any that you've found!. I can look these up at the store and online, too, so I'm not looking for that!. I'm looking for personal favorites and testimonials, as well as things to avoid (claims to be vegan but isn't, is vegan but tastes awful, etc!.)!.

Thanks in advance and namaste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like Luna Bars, but I don't know if they fall under your definition of "healthy!." The Clif Bar company also makes Nectar bars, which are pretty much just fruit and nuts!. I prefer them to Larabars!.

You can also try fruit leathers, which are made of dehydrated fruits!. There's a company called Stretch Island that makes them, and Trader Joe's has some, too!.

Amy's Kitchen is a solely vegetarian company and tends not to use artificial ingredients in her products!. Many items are vegan!.

If you have access to boiling water (or a microwave), check out Dr!. MacDougall's soup cups, all of which are vegan and made with no artificial ingredients, although there are natural vegan flavorings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite find is Lara Bars!. Convenient, good for you, absolutely delicious, and most have five ingredients or less!. The Peanut Butter Cookie bar is just dates, peanuts and salt!. The Key Lime Pie is just dates, cashews, almonds, unsweetened coconut and lime juice!.

We used to have to go to Whole Foods to find them, but now they're sold at HEB and Target as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love bars as a practical snack and sometimes I even eat a bar to replace a meal!. I also like mixed nuts or almonds as a snack or organic dried fruits such as dried mangoes!.
The bars I really love are!.

I don't know if this is healthy!.!. but I like thai kitchen and simply asia products!. They are microwavable and vegan!. They contain lactic acid, which I thought wasn't vegan but I researched it and they make if from a bacteria ( Bacillus acidilacti, Lactobacillus delbueckii or Lactobacillus bulgaricus)

they are pretty good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Clifbars and Luna Bars! They taste great, organic, but there is a good amount of sugar!. But try it out, I buy mines from Publix and it's only a dollar! Hope this helps

Yay to Vegans!Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can by quaker's chewy bars!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Amy's makes a lot of vegan products!.!.!.not ALL are vegan, but there is a good variety!. They use mostly organic ingredients and no preservatives!. I like that I can pronounce everything on the label, haha!.

One tip for convenient snacks: I ALWAYS keep one of those little tubes of unsalted peanuts or other nuts in my purse!.!.!.!.it's a good 'energy' snack when I need a boost and it keeps me from eating junk!.

One thing I would suggest is to ALWAYS ask at restaurants if you think an item might not be vegan!. There is a restaurant in my city that markets a 'vegan' dish but doesn't mention that it's served on top of butter-drenched rice!. They've been known to say things like, "what will happen to you if you eat it!?" and "come on, it's not going to hurt you" if you confront them!. Just remember that servers don't care about YOU, only about your tip!.!.!.!.so they are generally less than concerned with your diet as well!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
