I have two questions!.
I'm a Vegan and I was wondering if I won't grow any taller!.
Is there vitamins I'm supposed to take!? My mom keeps talking about me taking vitamins but the ones we have have Gelatin in them!. Do I need to take Vitamins!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

What would make you think veganism would make you stop growing!? Your final adult height is determined almost exclusively by the genes you inherited from your parents!. Severe malnutrition in childhood may cause someone not to achieve their full height potential, but veganism is NOT malnutrition!.
You should be trying to get all of your daily nutrients from food, but nobody eats perfectly all of the time and there is no harm in taking a multivitamin daily!. All of the major brands available in most grocery stores have gelatin and/or nutrients derived from animal sources and are not suitable for vegans!. Check at GNC, a health food store, Whole Foods or online!. There are lots of brands of vitamins that are marketed to vegetarians and vegans, they are just sometimes harder to find!. I take Deva brand multivitamin-multimineral, which I get online at http://www/veganessentials!.com or at my local vegan grocery (which you may not be lucky enough to have in your community!.)
Like I said, though, learning how to get your nutrition from food is most important!. I highly recommend that you and your mom read "Becoming Vegan" by Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina!. Both are registered dietitians and their book is very thorough!. It includes a chapter on the needs of growing vegans which should be helpful!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1!. How hold are you!? You typically stop growing around 18!.!. Diet doesn't determine height!.
2!. Not all vegans do need vitamins!. Check with your doctor and get your blood tested for b12, iron, protein, calcium, and whatever else!. Then if need be try taking regular powdery tablets that do not have gelatin!.
also, I know having too much calcium is severely bad for you!. So having too much of another vitamin or mineral may be bad too!. It's best to get them checked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarians often has a lack of vitamin b12 and you have to plan your meals so that you get the right combination of proteins to build the cells, enzymes and hormones protein are necessary for!.
and when you are aware of what you eat nonextra vitamins should be necessary!.
