Halal and Kosher are meat rules!.
For Kosher, though, you can't eat something that was even made in the same pot as non-Kosher meat!.
Otherwise, my friends ad family who keep Kosher often choose vegetarian meals when out so they don't have to worry about whether the meat is Kosher or not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For the most part yes, but not always!. There are certain rules that apply to fruits and vegetables that aren't always observed!. For example, it is not kosher to consume grape products unless it was produced by Jews!. This make most wines and juices non-Kosher!. Fruits and vegetables that are prone to insects are thoroughly inspected for Kosher adherents but not necessarily for vegetarians!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well, I'm Muslim, and I happen to be a vegetarian as well!. I don't even eat halal anymore!. A vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat at all!. I am somewhat of a pseudo vegetarian because I eat some seafood and eggs!. When I did eat meat, I was only allowed to eat halal which restricted my diet at school and in public places!. Now whenever I go out, I don't have to worry about looking for Halal at all!. I just avoid the meat completely! Being Muslim or Jew in today's society is almost like being vegetarian anyway, so basically all I did was eliminate the halal meat I ate at home!. Hope this helps you!. ^_^Www@FoodAQ@Com
If one is a pure vegetarian they will not eat hala/kosher not even milk butter (ghee) or eggs or fish or chicken!. For it would be forbidden if you were sticking by the vegetarian way of life!.
But if one was not so religious than their conscience would permit them to any of the above mentioned foods because they do not concider them sacred or impure!.
Whatever someone decides to eat , it is their choice and no one has the right to point fingers at anyone!. We all have free choice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well umm kosher mainly governs the conditions for what meat you can and cant eat but you can still eat most meats only they have to be kosher nor can meats be eaten w dairy products!. So if your veggie you dont really have to worry about kosher rules at least the ones that are specifically for meat
