What made you go vegetarian/vegan?!

im a vegetarian!.!.and i am one because its cruel and inhumane!.!.!.honestly why the heck do some people need to torture the animals!?!!? WHY!!? why cant they just shoot them or something!.!.as awful as that alone sounds its much faster and less painful then getting their beaks chopped off, electrocuted, their throates slit, etc!.

some people are sick!. i do not want to eat animal flesh knowing it was tortured!. plus its kinda gross when u think about it!.!.!.and also vegetarians live an average of 6 years longer then meat eaters =]Www@FoodAQ@Com

I went vegeterian after watching Dirty Jobs on TV!. They were at a pig farm and how they were mutilating pigs shocked me!. I didn't know that the animal industry was so cruel!. So I decided to uncover more!. I watched a documentary called "Earthlings" about humans' dependence on animals and animal products!. It was disturbing but a beautiful film!. That and several other things made me to decide to go vegan less than one day after going vegetarian!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

My girlfriend and I were on a road trip, she put on the book on tape "Skinny B*tch"!. It wasn't a revelatory moment or anything, but it lead to a great discussion about health and the cruelty to animals!. I would have to say we do it for both reasons!. I certainly could do it for the animal cruelty reasons alone, but the health benefits have been outstanding as well!. We are Vegan, and have been for 2 years now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a vegetarian, because i feel much better if don't eat meat, and i don't want to eat animals, because in the past, people hunted them, and respected them, but now there are factories where they mass kill all of them, and it's anything but not natural!.

My sister got the whole family to go vegetarian after seeing how the Industry went about doing things!. I was one of the last to convert, I did it more for my health!.

For those who say "we were meant to eat meat!.!.!.etc!." That is factually incorrect!. Look at an animal that hunts to survive, their digestive tracts are straight through!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
