Hi!
I've been a vegetarian my whole life and I get alot of my recipes off vegcooking!.com they have great recipes, a very large library, dishes from all over the world, and even a seasonal recipe section!

P!.S!. Congrats on becoming a vegetarian!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite is a hot sub sandwich with cheese, tomato, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms and olives!.
For a quick meal I like to combine beans, hominy and a side of veggies!. Or beans and rice with a salad!.
If I eat out I usually go to a mexican restaurant and have cheese enchiladas or chile rellenos!. You can also usually get a salad anywhere, often with a vegetable soup (be sure to ask if it's made with chicken or beef stock, though)!. You can also always get vegetable pizza!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I made this in home ec class yesterday and it's delicious and vegan : Pasta, lentil, and vegetable stew

Sweat 1/2 onion and garlic clove
Pour boiling water, sliced carrots, veg stock cube into pot and cook for eight minutes on high
Add mushrooms, fine beans, lentils and quickcook pasta and boil
Serve, yum!

I also love spaghetti bolognese with veggies instead of mince or quorn mince and Indian daal!.
you can do pretty much all your normal meat meals except with high protein veg like mushrooms or quorn instead of meat

Er q 3 can't help you all the resteraunts here don't serve vegetarians but I can't say resteraunts are something I miss, I've got a mild version of the eating in front of people phobiaWww@FoodAQ@Com

Right now its veg burgers :P
I like to add Vegetarian broth in place of water when I can, like with instant mashed potatoes it gives them more flavor :)
stir-fry vegetables are awsome and using olive-oil in place of vegetable oil also adds more flavor :)
I dont have a lot of monie so I buy seven layer burritos at tacobell, they kick *** :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite entree is steamed carrots!. The wholesome goodness they provide is undeniable!. They are easy to make at home and most restaurants will be happy to prepare them for you!. I sometimes kick it up and add a creamy carrot sauce to top it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Beans and wholemeal rice is the bomb! I used to make everything from scratch, but now I have a baby there is a lot of cheating!. I made this in under ten minutes today!.

-dice one onion and one red pepper!. Fry in a small amount of olive oil

-when cooked a bit add one big can of four bean mix, small can of diced tomatoes, two tablespoons of tomato paste, a teaspoon of dried chilli, a vegetarian stock cube and a cup or so of water!.

- leave to cook on a slow heat for 20 mins and serve with rice, or in wraps, or on baked potatoes, or on wholemeal toast with avacado!.

I know it's slack to get everything from cans and not as healthy, but I love being able to just open stuff and chuck it in!.I make a mean dahl from scratch but that involves grinding and stuff so not so quick!.

Every menu has good vege stuff!. You'll get to the point where you don't even look at meat like it is an option!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

1!.steamed vegetables, cali flower, brocolli, carrots, cubed potatos, mushrooms, sprouts, beans and more (i can eat it plain, but if i feel like it I would make a spicy sauce for it to dip)
1!.vegetable stir fry, some veggs that takes longer to cook need to be steamed first, then the veggs that takes long to cook goes in for stir fry first, and so on
1!. tofu, steamed, fried, baked, all good
2!. see 1
3!. i always get general taos chicken made with fake chicken meat, it tastes better then real general taos
i also like tofu, and hot and sour soup, it's killer

here is a tip for you, make vegetarian chilli, make white rice, buy torillas, buy cheese, put them toghter you got yourself a burriot with carbs and protein, make alot of them and wrap in alumium foil, put it in the freezer, then you can have food anytime you want and don't have to cook or clean up, just room temp defrost and bake in ovenWww@FoodAQ@Com
