I suspect that most of the people recommending tea tree oil or face washes etc are thinking of spots/zits rather than acne!.

Genuine acne can be sheer misery, and can reduce your quality of life!. There almost certainly isn't a vegan or 'natural' treatment that will be effective!.!.

It is up to you to decide which medications are worth it to you and which are not!. Vegans and vegetarians are not martyrs, and sacrificing your health is not required!. It's a rare veg*n who doesn't take prescription or over the counter meds at some time!. Most will avoid them for trivial conditions, but take them for more serious conditions!.

All drugs that are likely to be effective are tested on animals by law!.

My advice would be to accept and take prescribed medicine, which has been tried, tested and proven!. It's your decision though!.

Tea tree oil is the best thing, but you don't want to apply it directly to your skin undiluted, especially if you have sensitive skin!. I've never had acne problems, but I use it a few times a week as a toner!. What I do is wet a cotton pad with a little water, and then dob it with the bottle of tea tree oil a few times, and rub all over my face!. You can find tea tree at any good health food store, and any large, well-stocked grocery store!. I've seen it at Walgreen's too, but it's a bit more expensive than at the grocery store I buy it from!. A small bottle is usually about seven dollars (US), and a larger bottle 10-12 dollars!. It might sound kind of expensive, but it lasts a long time, and is probably cheaper than any crappy commercial acne cream in the long run!.

also, maybe change your soap if it's any kind of mainstream sort of brand!. There are so many chemicals in most soaps that could actually be the cause of your acne in the first place!. :/ Look for natural castille or vegetable based soaps!. Kiss My Face & Dr!. Bronners are excellent!. Drinking a lot of water is also really good for your skin!.

It's a myth that sugar & greasy foods cause acne, but it could be caused by a lack of nutrients in your diet!. Mostly it's just hormonal, or bacteria, or just the amount of oil your skin naturally secretes!.

Note: You can buy Tea Trea oil at any health food store!. The one I buy is the brand "Desert Essence" at Trader Joe's!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use KissMyFace as a facewash!.!.!. it is very natural!.!. made with olive oil, and it contains no harmful chemicals!.!.!. as for a treatment, I don't know!.!.!. but just the face soap seems to do the jobWww@FoodAQ@Com
