Answers:
I'm a Vegetarian!. Some of the myths do hold true!.!.!.

First off, 'Vegetarians don't get sick like people who eat meat do!.' That's sorta true!. You do tend to be somewhat healthier!. Plus, no more greasy fast food burgers!. But if you're a vegetarian for a long time and you eat meat, you get VERY sick!.

Good: You're healthier, you have more energy because you eat more vegetables, (if you're like me,) you don't feel guilty about eating something that once was alive!.

There are more, and you should research it yourself!.!.!.these are things I pull off the top of my head!.

Bad: Not much protein, it's quite hard to find things to eat if you're at a restaurant, you have to be very careful about what soups you eat because of chicken and beef stock, it's quite hard to buy shoes if you're opposed to wearing leather, and vegetarian-friendly food can be a bit expensive (but if you know where to get it, it's a bit easier), and if you live with parents who eat meat, they get angry at you and forget you don't eat meat!.(Last Christmas eve dinner my Aunt made green beans and she put bacon in it--I asked before I ate it and she admitted that she wasn't going to tell me it had bacon in it unless I asked ): )

It's also hard to stay determined and not to slip up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

for me, all benefits!. I feel better, and I feel better about myself for making and keeping this committment!. it's good karma!.

health benefits include: decrease risk of cancer and heart disease!. decreased blood pressure, bone health!.!.!.it goes on and on!. It's good for the environment!. not to mention!.!.!.it's really good for animals!.

Cons- for me, nothing that can't be easily overcome!. you need to pay attention to your diet, which everyone should do anyway!. a lot of people are really ignorant and extremely rude about it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmmm, that question is exactly how I became vegetarian :)

When it comes down to it, there isn't a reason to eat meat that isn't arrogant or ignorant!. The only reason I didn't become a vego sooner was because I was afraid of not getting enough protein!.!.!. Then I had a sudden realisation!.!.!. "What!?! I think that muscle development is more important than the lives of animals!!? I'm a diiick!.!."

Hope that helped you out, you'll feel what's right soon enough

PS!. Just putting out there, but I think veg4life up furthur was joking ;)

edit: Change my mind about veg4life, saw her answer a question in another question!. She bases her ethics on "I'm right, I'm a Doctor"!. Why would you have a name like veg4life if you're not vegetarian!!!? My heads spinning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarians have an IQ 5 points higher than the average IQ!. It means being more aware of what is going into your body!. Vegetarians are usually more aware of their diets and bodies, which can mean they have better health, certainly less cases of obesity, heart disease and cholesterol related illness!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All the IQ stuff is complete and utter Bullshit, so don't listen to it

Pros:

Less cholesterol

Cons:

If you're allergic to stuff, it could be hard to find proper vitamins!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

pros:
