Basic vegetarian items?!


Question: Basic vegetarian items!?
I've recently decided to become a vegetarian!. I still eat eggs, milk, honey, ect, but not meat!.

Any suggestions for basic staples and cookery!? Any particularly tasty recipes or good websites!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Food items: macaroni, spaghetti, vietnamese rice paper rolls,
potatoes, lentils, beans, almonds, walnuts, tofu, fresh fruit and veg, dairy if chosen!. Tofu for protein!.
Use olive oil to stir fry!.

Buy all the nice dried beans, like kidney beans, lentils,( green and red,)
Black eyed beans lima beans!. I cook up a bit pot and divide them into small bags and freeze them, that way you have them ready to use!. The dried ones are cheaper than the canned ones!.Make some lentil Burgers they are yummy!.

Actually if you go to Borders or Barns and Noble, or the library you might find a lot of recipe books for vegetarians,vegans and everyone in between!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tofu is good to substitute out in place of meat!.
Pasta is good, but make sure it is whole wheat pasta!. White Flour pasta is BAD!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lentils are a good substitute for mince!. ie!. you can make lasagna and pasta sauce with lentils!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
