Do think that pregnant vegetarians should eat meat until the baby is born?!
Answers:
No!. It's absolutely not necessary!.
Vegetarians are generally very knowledgeable about food choices, and are particularly cognizant during pregnancy!. They know where to get the nutrients they need!.
I've delivered a lot of babies to vegan and vegetarian moms!. not only do they have perfectly healthy babies, they have big babies! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Only if she wants to!. There have been volumes written on veg*n nutrition for pregnant and lactating women and nutritional and medical professionals, including the American Dietetic Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, agree that animal foods are not necessary for building healthy babies!.
From the ADA's position paper on vegetarian diets:
"Well-planned vegan and lacto-ovo-vegetarian diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including during pregnancy and lactation!. Appropriately planned vegan and lacto-ovo-vegetarian diets satisfy nutrient needs of infants, children, and adolescents and promote normal growth!."
The full text of the paper can be found here: http://www!.eatright!.org/ada/files/vegnp!.!.!.!.
I love how the ADA, the world's largest organization of nutrition professionals, can be perfectly comfortable with vegan and vegetarian pregnancies, but people with zero nutritional education can pop up on YA and insist that they know better!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

NO! What a weird idea! Why would you do that!?
Obviously, you need to eat adequate nutrients, get the protein, B12 , folic acid and vitamins and minerals you need -- a good veggie prenatal vitamin will take care of those things -- but you definitely do not need to poison yourself or your unborn fetus with growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids and other nasty organisms!. I don't eat meat and my baby was born perfectly healthy!. My iron levels were fine throughout my whole pregnancy!. Meat or no meat, you have to eat well when you are feeding your child too!. I know meat eaters who ate McDonalds all day and developed gestational diabetes!. Healthy eating is not about how much meat you eat!Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, it's not necessary at all!. Meat doesn't confer any nutritional benefits that she can't get elsewhere!. I'm in the last few weeks of my second vegan pregnancy right now, and I've had no health problems!. My 3yo son is an amazingly healthy little guy, and I've always felt good about the effect our diet is having on him!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, unless you want to chance exposing your child to Toxoplasmosis, a parasite found in undercooked pork!. It can cause severe disabilities!. A balanced vegetarian/vegan diet has everything a mom needs to deliver a healthy baby!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't think that would be such a good idea
I would recommend to take Vitamins, and more Organic foods! :D, for a healthy and beautiful baby!

No!. When I ever become pregnant, I won't eat meat!. Why should I have to kill someone else's baby just so mine can live!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Why would she do that!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
good question i would hope the mother would because i have to imagine its in the best intrest of the child but im not a vegitarian and sure they would tell you that they can get their protien from this and this and the fat needed from this and this instead of meat but personally i would rather me/them play it on the safe side for the childrens sake but im thinking though that if their dr for some reason ordered them too that!.!.!.they would grunt and moan and then give in temporarlyWww@FoodAQ@Com
Wellm it's really up to you!. When you say meat do you mean vegitarian meat or like meat- meat!? It doesn't really matter!. Just make sure the meat is all the way cooked!. Especially at resturants!. My mom had a problem with that when she was pregnant
