Growth Hormones (note the spelling please) contribute to/cause obesity in the humans who ingest the flesh of the inoculated animals!. They also contribute to the development of breasts in pre-pubescent girls!. Animals grown for slaughter are also given antibiotics and steroids which in turn are passed on to those who eat their flesh!. This has caused increased immunity to those antibiotics which becomes a serious problem when people actually do become ill and require those antibiotics!.
Additionally, the issues of salmonella and e-coli have become increasingly evident as people who have eaten the flesh of the animals themselves sicken and those meat products are recalled nationwide!.
My son chose to work in a Butcher Shop when I became vegetarian!. That lasted for two weeks!. He came home reporting that many of the carcasses received at the high end market where he worked were obviously diseased!. That routinely the butchers had to cut off abnormal growths (translation cancers) before they cut the steaks, chops and roasts!. It was enough to turn him vegetarian for life! That was 34 years ago, and trust me -- things have not gotten any better in the industry where animals are not grown in humane conditions! Where they are confined, mutilated and abused little else can be expected!.

Meat isn't necessarily bad!. It's usually the preparation of meat that can lead to harmful effects!. Undercooked meat can contain bacterias such as E Coli, salmonella, and much more!. Not to mention that some meats such as ham can contain parasites, such as tapeworms, that can have harmful affects to your body!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should really source your information elsewhere!. You won't find the correct answers here!. These folks have been blinded by ignorance in the subject!. I would suggest sourcing from a university, such as Univ of Ky Meat Science Lab or Texas A&M Beef Unit!. These universities do a great deal of research on the subject of preventing bacterias, etc!.!.!. in our food source!.

If this is a school project, which I assume from your terrible spelling, you should use a more trusted source than a bunch of strangers in a Vegan/Veggie Q&A!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Meat is not poisonous!. If it is not handled and prepared properly, it could become hazardous, much the same as improper vegetable handling and preparation can!. What you "heard" is incorrect and I'd discount the source as unreliable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
