Well there are many meat alternatives at supermarkets now so you might be able to find something there!. I found this mock turkey recipe for you:
Vegetarian Tofu Mock Turkey Loaf!. Slice up this tofu mock turkey and serve topped with vegetarian gravy for a vegetarian and vegan Thanksgiving entree, or, make veggie turkey sandwiches!.
Ingredients:
2 blocks firm or extra firm tofu
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 1/2 tbsp dry sherry
3 tbsp water
1/4 tsp black pepper
Preparation:
Freeze the tofu overnight!. Allow it to thaw, then press well to squeeze out all the extra water!.
Place the tofu in a lightly greased loaf pan, squeezing them as close together as possible!.
In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients!. Pour about 2/3 of this mixture over the tofu, and refrigerate the remaining 1/3!. Cover the tofu in the pan, and allow to marinade overnight, or for at least 4 hours!.
After marinating, pour the remaining soy sauce mixture over the tofu, then bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, basting the extra marinade over the tofu once or twice!.
Remove the tofu from the oven and carefully flip it over!. Bake for another 45 minutes, basting occasionally!. Allow to cool slightly before serving!.

I usually ask the hostess/host if I may bring some Vegan dishes for everybody to try as I am Vegan!. The hostess has always been very enthusiastic and the dishes have been enjoyed and eaten by hard line meat eaters!.
Don't try to compete with the hostess, for me the key isn't to make something that pretends to be meat, but to make something that everyone may enjoy such as a roasted pepper and tomato tart with pesto pastry and Vegan sushi for starters and halva for desert!.
If you are going out to eat, then ring in advance and ask what will be available for Vegans!. Often if they don't have appropriate choices they will make some for you!. I had the most amazing vegetable crumble last year on a Christmas luncheon where there was only a 'goats cheese filo parcel' vegetarian option!. The crumble was just so good my daughter wished she had chosen it too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When ever I go to family dinners I bring my own main course!. I always make sure that I bring enough for everyone and share it!. I use it as a main course and others use it as a compliment to their main course!. Last Thanksgiving I brought a stuffed acorn squash to my grandmothers home, and everyone really enjoyed it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
One of my friends is vegetarian and she never brings attention to this fact when eating out or at someone's home!. She just eats the non meat items!. But if someone asks why she is not eating the turkey/chicken/meat, she kindly says she is a "vegetarian and ask that they not worry about it as she has plenty to eat"!.
Never wear being a vegetarian like a badge!. This is why so many people do not like to be around vegetarians!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a vegan and this will be my 6th meatless holiday season!.
:-D
While that is a personal celebration of mine, my family basically ignores the fact that I don't eat meat!. My mother (for whatever reason) refuses to make even the sides veg-friendly (uses damn near a whole stick of butter on the rolls, puts a ham hock in the greens, loads of milk in the potatoes, dressing with the turkey broth - you get the idea)!.
I'm ignored!.
I usually bring my own dish (like a casserole)!. Another year, I tried to stick to "traditional" foods by making my own baked sweet potato, greens and the like!. I have also done "alternative" holiday meals!. One year I made some veggie quesadillas with a side of Spanish rice!. This year I might go with an Asian theme!.
I'm not saying that will be your reality (ffy), but it's the reality of many of us - especially if the main person who is doing the cooking has to cook for a LOT of people, they might not be willing to set things aside for you and make you special things!. You can always offer to bring a veggie dish for everyone and that will ensure that you have something to eat!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Feasting on side dishes should be okay, It's just one or two dinners missed in a whole year and isn't really that big of a "sacrifice"!.
I am not a vegetarian but I do make vegetarian main courses if I have vegetarian guests!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have one brother in law who teases me but really you get over it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
You could tell everyone that you're a vegetarian and just tell them that you want to be accepted and dig in to the tators, salad, and everything else that's not meated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm vegan!. If I'm at home, my mom makes stuff I can have too, so it's really not an issue at all!.
If we go to other peoples' houses (i!.e!. aunt's house) I usually pick at what I can eat, if anything, and then have my "real dinner" after!.
It's not really bad at all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm the only one, it is still not hard!. Since there are at least eight people at those meals and only one dish is meat, I can eat everything else just fine!. It has not been a problem for me!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I buy a pack of Yves coldcuts and I buy some Vegan dressing and eat potatoes but not the stuffing when I'm over at a person's house for Thanksgiving!.
