its GREAT that you're wanting to go vegetarian :] i've been one for three and a half years, and vegan since august 30!. it feels wonderful!.
i guess you could like somehow buy the fake chicken!? like with a friend or something!? and he wouldn't notice the difference!? idk :/
personally i don't eat the fake stuff because i went veg since i thought it was weird/gross to be chewing on dead animals but now i really care about the animals too
keep trying to talk to your dad about this
and research stuff about going veg, like it really is better for your health!.

Which would you rather be, a lying vegetarian or an honest meat eater or best( for you at least) an honest vegetarian!? Lying about something like this will create a pattern that will just blow up in your face one day!. Better to sit him down and explain calmly, maturely and factually why you want to be a vegetarian and why you think this would be a good thing for you!. If he catches you in a lie, this will just confirm that you are immature and cannot be trusted!.

Another thing, you are 14, a minor, living at home!. Your parents have almost complete control over you at this stage in your life!. In fact, your health is their responsibility!. If they think being a vegetarian is unhealthy for you, there is nothing much you can do about it until you are at an age where you can decide these things for yourself without the need for parental consent!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is great that you are thinking about becoming vegetarian!. There are numerous good reasons to do so!.

It is also great that your father is concerned for your health!. How about researching the health effects of being vegetarian!? You might read The Blue Zone which talks about several areas in the world where people who are vegetarian or close to it tend to live the longest and healthiest!.

If you study up and rationally present the facts to him about how you can be healthy on a vegetarian diet, you may be able to impress him with the facts and your adult behavior!. His heart may melt with pride and he may approve of what you want to do!.

Best wishes!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you try to hide it from your parents you WILL end up with anemia because you won't be able to get enough protein!.

You need to talk with him about it, at your age it is extremely important that your body is getting all the nutrients it needs or you could stunt your growth permanently!.

If he says no then you should accept it!. It's his roof, his house, afterall!. Once you get out of the house and can pay/cook your own meals then you are mature enough to make that decision on your own!.

i love to eat meat but if you do not tell your dad you dont want to eat chicken or meat
and go online and look for the benefits of being a vegetarian
a friend of mine got throat cancer and the docs thought he would die,but the state that him being a vegetarian and eating healthy is what saved his life and he made a complete recoveryWww@FoodAQ@Com

Don't try to hide it!. It is nothing to be ashamed of!. Talk to your dad again!. I had the same problem with my mom because she was a nurse and wanted me to have protein!.
Just remember that meat eaters get too much protein!. Vegetables and other foods like tofu, beans and nuts have enough protein!. You won't be lacking, and you will feel just find!.
It's your body, not yours dad's!. You decide what goes in it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am 15 and a month and a half ago i went vegan overnight, and my dad heartily disapproved!. But after a while he got used to it and learned this is what i wanna do and i am passionate about it!. He still cracks jokes, but oh well!. I would say just do it, cook your own meals and everything!. He won't like it at first but give it a bit and he will understand!.
Good luck!! Hope it works out!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Dont its something to be proud of!
All the alternative meat and chicken products have just as much protein and less than half of the caloriesWww@FoodAQ@Com
