I'm a relatively new vegetarian. Got some questions..?!
So, for the last 3 months I decided to become a vegetarian!.
My reasons are many, mainly health, animal rights and environmental issues!.
My question lies in the fact that i lost roughly 15 pounds since i started!. I know that sounds like a good thing, but since when i started i was 145-140 range, and now I'm 129!. I am a male, with a height of 6'2", so this is not my ideal weight!.
I felt as though i was doing it properly, eating the soy supplements, beans, potatoes, peanut butter, but I have not been taking any protein powders or multivitamins, mainly because I am unsure of which types are actually animal free!. Obviously something is missing from my diet, and I was wondering if there are any good supplements that can help me build my weight back up!.
As well, what other supplements would any other vegetarians suggest, without spending too much cash!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you even eating enough food!? Balancing the carb/protein quotient!? Cooked or raw veggies!? Dairy products!? Pasta!? Pizza!? Tofu!? Tempeh!? Yes, Protein Shakes sound like a good idea for you - and I would add some banana to the morning shake and I would make it with some Hemp Milk (extremely high in Omega 3, 6, 9's and Proteins, o r use Almond, Rice or Soy Milk!. Read the labels and ask questions at the Health Food Store!. Country Life Vitamins are a good vegetarian choice, as are Solgar VM75!. Vitamins that say Vcaps are vegan!. The ones that say gelatin is a made with meat!. When i became a vegetarian, i lost weight also which is normal!. You will lose that meat fat first and you will put the weight back on in a healthy way!. Don't worry, you sound like you are doing fine!. Stay away from mono-diglycerides and gelatin, which is pork!. Vcaps will cost more than regular vitamins but if you are serious, they are worth it!. Good luck and keep on going!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
