Do it! :o)

My husband and I went to a vegan restaurant once and it literally took us half an hour to pick what we wanted to order because we had so many choices! Usually when we go to a restaurant we have 2 or 3 choices!. Go and enjoy and love the fact that you have so many choices (and so do your non-vegan family members!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm an omnivore (verry slowly going vegetarian) and my boyfriend is a non-egg eating vegetarian!. This past weekend we went out to eat at a vegan restaurant!. It was actually REALLY good and I felt great knowing that he could eat anything on the menu without having any questions about what was in it!. Choose a restaurant that isn't too far out there in terms of menu items ( most restaurants have their menu's online now) !. Let your family know that the restaurant you've chosen won't have any meat or animal products on the menu and ask that they please be open-minded and try it with you!. Worse case is that they decide to go out for steaks after dinner to compensate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!!! Take them to the vegan restaurant and let them taste how good it is! I have taken my non-veg family and friends to vegan/vegetarian restaurants and they have been pleasantly surprised!. I have even managed to get a couple to really think about the way they eat!. That's a step in the right direction!

Enjoy your meal -- I hope you partake in a compassionate meal with them many, many times in the future! :o)

Yes!

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but have friends that are!. I love going and am open to trying different foods!. There's a coop by my house that has the most delicious vegan desserts in the world!

Now, everybody may not be into it!. Some people are picky eaters or stuck in their ways!. Hopefully your family is fun and ready to try something new!. Hey and its vegan, its not like there's any scary ingredients its all natural!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have to give you props on choosing a vegan diet--I'm working on it!. Currently, I am a vegetarian but have given up eggs (in direct form) since May '08!.

I'm not sure about this!. I think it would be a great way to expose them to this type of compassionate lifestyle but if they usually eat meat, I'm not sure what that particular restaurant would have to offer them!.!. and will they like it!?

Good Luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course, it's okay! One vegetarian (near vegan) restaurant in my area serves mostly omnivores because it's near downtown and caters to the lunch crowd!.

As long as they pay for the food they order, why should anyone care whether the patrons are veg or not!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you kidding me right now!? Sweetheart, segregation has been over for decades; feel free to take your family anywhere you want to enjoy a meal regardless of their eating practices!. Bon Appétit!Www@FoodAQ@Com

if their happy to eat vegan food then why would it be a problem!?
vegan resturants are just resturants where vegans dont have to worry about what they're eating Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why wouldn't it be ok!? Just let them know ahead of time so they won't be shocked and think that the menu sucks or something :)

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, if they're open minded, and the restaurant is good!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of Course! There's nothing wrong with that! The restraunt won't mind as long as you pay! Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you love food, you're gonna love it if it's prepared right!.!.!.meat or meat-free!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, it's not ok!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
