Why do so many people hate PETA?!

Question: Why do so many people hate PETA!?
I'm from Australia and we don't hear much about the organisation here!. There seems to be a lot of people who aren't that fond of them though!. What's the deal with it and what's your opinion on it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
People are against them because they 'apparently' don't always do the right thing!. The meat eating industry promotes so many myths that PETA comes off looking like killers!. I don't see how thats even possible!. They say peta kills the dogs they rescue!. They don't kill all the dogs, they rehabilitate them, find them homes and stuff!. But if they find a dog in such miserable condition and it is better for the dog to be euthanised and put to sleep, out of its misery, then they do that!. Again its euthanising with a put to sleep injection, so its completely painless!.

Meat eaters won't open their eyes, they would rather just go around saying plants have feelings, humans were meant to eat meat and blah blah!. Naturally they are against PETA!.

Some vegetarians/vegans don't like peta!. Some people have a problem with teaching kids about meat early on!. PETA goes to schools and shows them what happens to chickens and cows and whatever before they reach your plate (demonstrations and school visits are big in america but done less around the rest of the world)!. They feel kids shouldn't be shown that stuff!.
If your eating it why shouldn't you know where it comes from!?

PETA also threw red paint on some people with fur coats!. The whole blood clothing type of thing!. Some vegans were like 'whats the point of that!?', the fur wearing people will just need to go buy a new coat!.

Peta is against feeding dogs meat!. Some people who are vegetarian give their dogs meat, and are like how can a vegetarian diet be healthy for a dog!.
I have two very happy healthy vegetarian dogs to dissprove whatever meat requirement theories people have!. I watch their diet and make sure they get enough protein (high protein requirements)!.
I've heard cats require something from fish, i'm not saying thats un-true because i don't have cats and have not fully looked into that!. It probably is true!.
So there PETA looses some more support because they are too extreme!.

PETA's nude campaign makes them lose alot of vegetarian support!. People are like your giving vegetarians a bad name taking off your clothes and running around the street!.
How many people have heard of PETA because of their nude campaign!? So so many because of it!. And the create awareness, people hear about them, and then listen to what they have to say about animal rights!. Not all listen, but atleasting they're hearing it!.
Meat is served in such a pretty package, most people aven't even thought about where it comes from!.
So its a publicity campaign, and its working well!.

PETAs against animal testing in any form!. Some vegetarians/vegans are like where are we going to get our cures from then!?

Long answer!. Those were a few things off the top of my head!. There would be more reasons i could try to remember if your interested!. Let me know!.
Hope i helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because they're unrealistic nazi's who don't live int he real world,

I have friends who are farmers, and most of them have jack russel dogs to get rid of the rats!. PETA says that's incredibly cruel and unnatural, and the rats should just be allowed to eat all of the produce!.

What does he sell then!?

They are against humans living with animals, which is absurd!. They're against killing all animals, which is absure on a farm scale!.

How do you think you get all of your grains, unless someone kills the rats!?

Rats will quite easily eat an entire harvest in a week!.

Give me an alternative to dogs, and i'm sure people will use it!.

Dogs are carnivores primarily!. That is what they eat!. To suggest that all animals eat vegetables just shows an incredible lack of knowledge about basic biology!.

They're against all animal testing, which is totally hypocritical as the leader of PETA is diabetic, and uses medication from animals, tested on animals!.

Generally they irritate me, because they demonise things which are natural, and generally they're hypocritical!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I support PETA!.

While I readily admit that not all dairy farms are like the bad examples you might see on a PETA video, that is not to say that there aren't dairy farms like that!

The thing is this!.!.!.sure some smart consumers could go and buy milk that they know comes from cows who are treated with decency and not injected with hormones, etc!., but the vast public in the US does not heed these kind of concerns!. Maybe watching a PETA video would open their eyes!. I know that in a place like Ireland, they may have different standards!. I can't really speak about Ireland, but I know that in the US we have loads of factory farms that are causing environmental catastrophes!. Case in point, Tyson chicken is based in NW Arkansas!. The feces from all of those chickens taints the water supply and guess what, all of that water flows downstream and pollutes the water ways of Northeastern Oklahoma!. This is not a joke! It's a serious environmental hazard! There was a place I went swimming in once!. There were lots of kids, and it was fun!. We went back a year or two later, and it was closed!. No one was there, and there was a sign warning that the water was polluted and that it was not safe to swim there!.

So people may not like what PETA has to say!. They don't want to hear it!. And plus, PETA gets lots of flack from others!. I feel like most people who have made up their minds against PETA have not done that because of listening to what PETA has to say!.

I feel like PETA is actually reasonable on some issues!. For instance, PETA called off its protest against KFC in Canada (not the US) because the KFC chain there (again, seperately owned from the US chain) agreed to certain conditions for the chickens and also to have a vegan option!. You see, they weren't calling for KFC to be shut down (a foolish request anyhow), but they saw they could do some practical good!. And I would love to the US KFC follow suit!. Heavens knows I have had to go to KFC a lot when I was a kid, and there was no vegan option then!. It's just nice to give people a choice, and to have some anti-cruelty standards!. So while PETA advocates veganism, they realize that they can't make everyone vegan, so they do what they can!.

Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a new vegan, my decision to eat this way was largely influenced by the health benefits of eating this kind of diet!. Upon reading more and more information about why veganism is good for the earth/environment/economy/animals/other people I think that PETA is an organization that promotes positive ideas and useful information!. I do, however, think that there are some "militant" people that actively are rude and disruptive towards other people which gives the majority of us a bad name!. However, I think that the view of PETA as extremists who hate anyone that uses animals in any capacity is overblown!. I personally believe, as most vegan/vegetarians that I know, that you can chose to put whatever you want in your body, but I think that most people don't understand veganism or think it is a threat to their lifestyle and think that we all want to stop meat consumption forever!. Misconceptions about this type of lifestyle I think, are really the key as to why PETA makes a lot of people uncomfortable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Peta kills almost 90% of the animals they take in, some of these animals are badly injured and need to be put down, but a much greater percentage are perfectly healthy and adoptable!. Peta is supposebly a non profit organization, but they rake in 30 million per year and spend little to none of that on the animals, most of it is spent on advertizing and hiring celebrities to do campaigns!.

People for the ethical Treatment of Animals is a group that would have you believe that its motivations are altruistic and pure - warm and friendly organization that exists only to help animals!. It might have started out that way, but today nothing could be further from the truth!. The fact is PeTA is Unethical!. A closer look reveals that PeTA is nothing more than an extremist group that financially supports and aids arsonists, violent criminals, and terrorist groups!. PETA kills over 90% of the animals they take from pet owners!.

Peta's President has even stated that even if a cure for AIDS was found through animal testing they would be against it!. How can anyone support peta when they are against a cure that could save MILLIONS of people!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

People do not support PETA because they feel they are 'brainwashing' everyone!.

personally, i love peta and what they do!. i turned vegetarian because of peta and things they showed on there such as videos!.

if they continue showing people the horrible treatment animals get for animal testing, circus training and meat slaughter, the world will be such a better place with more compassion shown!.

but that's just my opinion!. i know other people feel differently!.

(:Www@FoodAQ@Com

I will say this!. If a person sits down and watches some videos of Animals being skinned alive, burned alive, ripped into piece, and that person doesn't have a problem with that; then they are a Psychopath plain and simple!. Our emotions are set to feel compassion and love, just like all other Animals!. But we are different in that we can actually prevent suffering!. I believe "The Obligation Of The Strong Is To Protect The Weak!" And animals are weak, because they have NO CONTROL over their lives when it comes to humans!. So if some scumbag adopts a dog, tortures Him/Her, then throws them onto the street when dead; there is no funeral for that Animal!. That dog doesn't get a Tomb Stone!. The Police don't hunt for the killer like they would with a human!. So Animals are weak in that aspect!. The people that bash Peta, don't understand Peta!. They think Peta just wants everyone to eat Soy Beans and not use any Animal Products!. And while the founder Ingrid Newkirk would love for that to happen; she knows it is not going to happen!. So Peta was formed to offer aid to Animals!. So that scumbag who killed the dog won't get away with it!. Because people that tortures Animals are the same types of people that could end up being a Psychopathic killer!. That is a fact!. Once someone loses their compassion, and ends up getting a rush out of hurting; they become dangerous to everyone around them!. So Peta is just trying to find a way to better Animals lives in whatever way possible!. If a large fast food company is going to sell meat, then Peta tries to get them to use Free-Range Animals that didn't suffer in tiny cages!. If some designer wants to sell Fur-Like products; Peta works with them to make Flax-Fur instead!. That is what Peta does, but a lot of people don't understand that, nor care!. What I don't understand is how can someone who claims to be a "Good" person be okay with Animal suffering!? Don't you think the suffering you add to the world through your actions, then counts against you in the next life!? Don't you want to die with your soul clean of blood!? When you understand Animals, you understand they are so much like Humans!. For People that hate Peta it is okay to let some Animal be killed in the most horrible way possible, but it wouldn't be if it was them in that situation!. Let's say Aliens came down and started doing what Humans do to Animal, to all of us; wouldn't that be horrible!? Knowing your 1 life on this planet is going to be spent in HELL!?! So Peta, like the other Animal Rights Groups; is made up of people that not only care about Animals, but Humans as well!. But were somehow bad because we want to prevent suffering in all forms!.!.!.!. So for those that make fun of Peta, why not take a good look at the world and your place in it!. You don't even have to be a fanatic to care; all you have to do is show some compassion for other life forms!. Because who has a better chance at getting into Heaven!? A guy like me who doesn't kill or hurt anyone, or some guy who kills Animals without remorse!? Heaven doesn't have room for Psychopaths; their is another place for those types!.

By the way, I donate monthly to Peta; along with other Animal Rights groups!. If I didn't think they were making a difference, then I wouldn't be donating!. Peta has helped in so many ways, and got people and companies to treat Animals with more compassion!. So that is a cause I want to be part of!. And the fact that people keep calling them EXTREMIST proves they know nothing about Peta!. Do your research, don't just recite what others are saying!. You have your own mind; so use it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I dislike them because they are extremists!.

I don't believe them because I compare my experiences on dairy farms to their videos!. Admittedly, I live in Ireland, but I've been allowed hand feed a sick calf (conceived naturally) and pet him!. My aunt also lives beside a farm and I can lean over her fence and pet cows!. Kinds contradicts PETA!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I find it absurd myself!. A few people I know don't care about animals enough to do something about it and seeing a major organisation of people fighting for what they believe in makes them feel bad!. It might be just the people I know, but maybe that could be a reason!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because PETA tells the truth and shows it to them without sugar-coating it!. And some people don't like to be told the truth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

PETA is an extremist organization that gives a bad name to humane organizations!. This link explains it in detail!.
http://www!.nokillnow!.com/PETAIngridNewki!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They care more about animals than humans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The FBI say they are terrorists!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are extremists!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are conflicting stories about them!.!.in general I like what they say :]Www@FoodAQ@Com

i don't know them at all seriouly but i think they dislike peta is because peta is too extreme and peta killed the animals themselves!.but still what i think peta is doing is good!.i think the animals that they killed can't be save anymore i guess!.hopefully i'm right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
