What if I ate nothing but insects, no meat, no dairy, could I be considered a Vegan?!
Answers:
The difference lies in our intent!. I'm a vegan and as such try not to use/consume any products that require animals to suffer!. Insects are animals and so I don't purposefully eat/kill them!.
However, I am sure at some stage I have accidental eaten a few insect legs etc!.
Veganism is about living compassionately, not perfection!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know if you are talking about eating insects by accident in a box of food, or killing a bug on the ground because you didn't see it!. You swallow an average of seven spiders a year while sleeping, but I still consider myself a dietary vegan!. If you are killing insects with the intent to eat them, no you are not a vegan!. But if you think it is BS to call someone a vegan because they kill a fly in a restaurant, whatever, I will still not eat meat, eggs, or dairy, I don't care about labels, it is the thought and effort!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Everyone kills insects by accident and often it cannot be helped, the Jain monks and their brooms notwithstanding!.
However, veganism is about intent and action!. If you accidentally inhale an insect, you're still vegan!. If you purposely make a snack of chocolate covered ants, you're not!. Your question refers to eating "nothing but insects" which would not be a vegan diet by any stretch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Insects are a great source of lean protein, portable, and have a fabulous crunch!. However, because they are alive and moving around, that would be a no-go for most vegans!. Of course, each person goes vegan for their own reasons!. If you decide that a bug is okay to eat, then keep on eatin' on!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well am vegan and I don't kill insects not even the annoying, or dangerous ones!. I mean they won't attack u so all u have to do is safely lead them out your house in the wild for them to enjoy their god given lives just like us!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No!.
And that is the stupidest point you were trying to make!.
Because we don't eat insects!. nor kill them for fun!. It is impossible not to kill animals just by moving but we don't do it on purpose and if we can avoid it, we would!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No you wouldn't be classed as a vegan because an insect is technically an animal, you would be a buggatarian
