Start slowly!. Even if you add one good vege meal a week, it still gets you there!. If you just abruptly change, you're going to
a) wonder what to eat
b) crave meat
c) probably end up eating the wrong things!.

Hunt in second hand shops for vegetarian recipe books and choose a few recipes to try!. When you've found a few you like, just extend it so you are having it two or three times a week!.

I find, personally that I'm never going to be boxed into a true label of "vegetarian!." If I *really* want something, say if my partner offers me bacon and eggs in the morning, I don't feel pressured to say no!. It's not about labelling yourself as a vegetarian and not being allowed meat - it's about personal choices!. If you've been vegetarian for a month, go out to dinner and theres something you really want!. Just do it - otherwise what you want is going to always be in the back of your mind!.

You know how some people crave candy, but once they start eating better, those cravings subside or stop completely!? The reason is because they're getting everything they need from the food they eat, so their body isn't crying out for things like extra sugar to help fuel it!.

So too with meat!. Meat provides a lot of great vitamins and the macronutrient protein!. However, eating a well-rounded diet comprised of fruits, veggies, grains, nuts, and legumes is also going to give you great vitamins (including calcium and zinc) as well as protein (both complete and incomplete, the latter can be made complete by combining sources)!.

Basically, eat well!. Eat a full range of foods, even things that you've always seen in the store but never had the urge to try!. Provide your body with what it needs and it won't crave the things it can live without!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

What reasons do you have for wanting to be veg!? Until you can answer that, you're going to be a bit stuck!.

Next, your local Whole Foods or nearby natural foods store should have what we call analogues--foods that resemble meat that are made of plant--usually soy, wheat, or both--protein!. There are also a number of vegan online retailers that have analogues!.

Read labels!. Avoid gelatin!. Avoid meat stocks, which crop up in so-called vegetable soups!.

Don't need that much effort!. It only seems hard to the meat eaters!.!.!. Can't live without the meat!.!.!. Pfft!.

Make sure you're eating leafy greens and as much beans as you can!. Beans are awesome! You might need iron tablets, but you don't need protein supplements!. People believe that if we don't eat truckloads of protein your muscles will shrink! What a load of stupid, arrogant people!.

Any way, good luck with your change in lifestyle! You're doing a good cause!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
