I've been making my own vegan cheese lately to put on top of pizza, which contains lots of nutritional yeast which is very high in b12!. Google the recipe - it's very easy to make (like 5 mins) and so much better for you than store bought cheeses (the ones I've found are very high in fat)!. It browns really well and is great with mexican as well!.

Cake can be made completely vegan, and you wouldn't even know the difference!. I had a vegan brownie the other day from an environmental cafe near my house and it was so good I can't walk that way anymore otherwise I may get massive!.

Yogurt!.!.!.!.!.that sucks actually as soy yogurt tastes like crap! I used to eat it every day!. Instead of yogurt on my muesli I've been blending frozen berries with a tiny bit of soy milk which seems to have a texture which is similar with cereal!.

I would only say to make sure you the right combo of food!. For example, beans with rice for protein as you can't just get it easily from eggs and dairy, and orange juice with greens so the iron is absorbed with the vitamin c!. also I sprinkle LSA onto a lot of foods, eat nuts through the day and use nutrional yeast a fair bit in cooking (other than spirulina the only easy source of b12 I know of in vegan diet)!.

It only costs more if you want it too ie buying all foods pre packaged as opposed to making your own vege burger!. A meat diet costs way more in my books!. It just takes a bit of practice and education to egt it right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

OK so you are engaged in a bit of a debate with yourself, and the peer pressure is pointing you in a direction you do not of necessity want to go!. Is that right!? So, what is the problem!? If you enjoy it and you can tolerate it in your digestive tract then!? Look, the cow is in pain if she isn't milked!. And it didn't take her life to be milked either!. The issue with dairy is about the males -- who are often slaughtered for veal, and also with the fact that cow's milk is pasteurized or ultra pasteurized which breaks the peptides so that the body reads the material as plastic and creates mucus to rid itself of it!. Which is why so many Americans are convinced that they are allergic to dairy or have a sensitivity to it -- the lactose intolerance thing!. More often than not they are not allergic to anything other than plastic!.
The choice is yours!. People can be vegan very easily and there is soy yogurt and soy ice cream and vegan pizza too!. All of which are quite acceptable!. But I repeat -- the choice is yours!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I recently made the switch to vegan!. It is hard but there are things you can eat, you just have to be creative!. You can use soy cheese or no cheese at all!. Believe me, Sauteed vegetables can bring a whole new flavor that you hadn't thought about!. As far as pudding, same thing, soy!. Cake, instead of eggs, a banana is equivalent to 1 egg in baking!. For anything else, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and soy protein is the same as 1 egg!. I don't know if that helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There's cheese substitutes made from soy that are very good for pizza!. Tofutti even has pre-made vegan pizzas!. There's also soy pudding, and soy yogurt, you just need to go to health food stores, or Trader Joe's, they have a lot of good vegan options!. Some of the best cakes I've ever had are vegan, just use soy milk instead of cow's milk and there's lots of things to substitute for eggs!. Vegan cookies and cupcakes can taste just as good as regular ones too!. It's challenging at first, but it gets easier!. When I first became vegan, I thought there would not be enough variety in my diet, but now I have lots of delicious food that I probably never would have tried otherwise!. You definitely don't have to go hungry!.!.!. it is a little more expensive though, but it's worth itWww@FoodAQ@Com

I felt the same way you did before I went vegan!. It's actually not as hard as it sounds!. I can still order pizza, just with no cheese!. You should try a veggie pizza with no cheese & extra sauce, it's so good! I also learned how to bake with vegan ingredients!. It's pretty easy, they have some boxed egg replacer you can buy, or you can use flax seeds & a bunch of other stuff!. The only time it is hard is when you go to a party or something & you have to say no when offered food, especially the dessert! After I became vegan, I was forced to study all the ingredients in the food I ate, which actually made me become much healthier & more aware of what I was putting into my body!. I seem to have the best luck in asian & Italian restaurants!. I have a very difficult time going out to breakfast & am pretty limited to a fruit salad & toast, which is a lot healthier than most crap people order for breakfast!. When I don't feel like cooking, I'll heat up an Amy's frozen meal!. They are really good & have lots of vegan options!. If you are worried about not being able to make the adjustment, start off slowly!. Maybe eat vegan a few times a week at first!. Don't feel bad if you mess up at first, nobody is perfect!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's hard for about 3 days, then it gets easy!. :)

Pizza - I love pizza! You can find vegan pizza at your local specialty grocery store / health food store!. You put it in the oven for about 15 minutes and you're done!.

Pudding - http://allrecipes!.com/Recipe/Yummy-Vegan!.!.!.

Cake - Cake is no problem!. Just make it the same as you would except use soy milk and egg replacer!. There are lots of things that can be used to replace eggs, and the specialty grocery store will even have a powder just for it!.

Yogurt - You can absolutely get vegan yogurt!.

I had to laugh at the you'd go hungry part!.!.!. it seems like you're blind to a whole lot of options available to you!.

Food doesn't cost more as a vegan!. People ask me how much I spend on food sometimes and it is a lot, but that's just because I choose to eat the best stuff I can find; after all, what better thing do you have to spend money on!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You must have a correct concept when you are going into vegetarian or vegan!.

You should ask yourself why must go into that diet, before you start to read about or trying!.

If you are trying for fun, it should be fine for a short period of time!. If not, don't force yourself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you don't have to go vegan if you don't want to!.
vegan is a very strict diet!.
you are an ovo-lacto-vegetarian!.
usually, vegetarianism is about simply not eating any meat, any animal once living!.
you don't have to be a strict vegetarian or vegan!.

whats different between a vegetarian to a vegan!?!?!? these r all the same stinks!! lets just eat nice n thick fillet steak and chocolate cake for desert!!! i don hav to diet,iv never been on the diet but im extremely slim! im big fan of beef,im beef eater-from burgers n fried chicken ,etc!.!.all that so yummy!u should eat as much as u want! the life is too short to be skelton with dieting forever till die for nothing, thats too sad!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a vegetarian and I feel the same way but I don't feel bad bout eatin milk and stuff because ur not killing the animals for it so it is totally differentWww@FoodAQ@Com

No, it doesn't cost more!.

I went from vegetarian to vegan overnight 13 years ago!. Some people do it in stages - cutting out one thing at a time - either way is fine!. It isn't difficult - the only thing that's harder is finding places to eat out, and even that's not as difficult as it used to be!.

In fact, I think it's easier to go vegan now than it was to go vegetarian in the 60s and 70s!.

Pizza can be made with vegan 'cheese' - there are several melting ones; or it can be made without cheese - you'd be surprised how tasty that is!. Pizza Express will make a vegan pizza on request!.

Buy some good recipe books for vegan puddings and cakes - there are several dedicated to desserts, cakes, ice creams!.!.!. It's really easy to 'veganise' cake recipes!.You can buy wonderful vegan ice creams - Toffuti and Swedish Glace are as good and better than any dairy ice cream!.

Why not make the change gradually, introducing new vegan foods as you go along!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
