I know exactly what you mean!. I'm kind of scared of it myself!. (when my 8 year old was little, he was afraid of jello, so he also can relate to what you're saying)
It just looks creepy, huh!?
One time one of my friends made milkshakes with tofu in it, and it was disgusting!. Everyone else was like, yeah, this is yummy--- but I thought it was gross!. Was it cuz of that tofu, or was it my imagination!?
Not sure!. But if I don't have to eat it, I'm not gonna!.
Imagine if you peeked down in the sewer grate and there was a clown holding a block of tofu! NIGHTMARE!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tofu is a delicious alternative to meat products!. When you take it out of the package, make sure you press it to drain all the water out!. I do this by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a glass casserole dish or heavy pan on top for a half hour, then flipping the tofu over for another half hour!. I usually marinate for ~1 hr, if you did a good job pressing, the marinade soaks up really well!. I try to cut it up into a variety of aesthetically pleasing shapes (triangles, small squares etc) instead of just boring (and unappealing cubes)!.

Good luck and enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tofu is great in chop suey! Get the firmest you can find!. I love the already marinaded and baked kind my grocery store carries!. A little trick - if you freeze it and then thaw it the texture changes, and it's very similar in texture to chicken!. Marinate it the same way you would a pice of chicken and use it in any recipe you would use chicken in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

get firm tofu, not the silken!. There's this hawiian stuff that has alot of texture!. It is not flavored, but the texture makes it more apealing to meat eaters!. Or ask oround about a good chinese restaurant!. I like fried tofu, once again because of the texture!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't be scared! I think it takes a while to learn to cook it right!. Draining it well is the key!. Personally, i like it in stir fry, or breaded lightly and baked!. And then put in stir fry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't worry tofu is lovely!. It's very versatile and can be used in all sorts of dishes cold or cooked!. My favourite is smoked tofu so definately try that sometime :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why would you be scared!? Tofu has no flavor, and simply absorbs flavor from whatever you put it into!. It should be great in stirfry !.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can try, but im just saying!.!.!.

every show with tofu says its evil! :O

but try it, who knowsWww@FoodAQ@Com
