Vegitarians, what is in your ramen?!
okay so basically i recently became a vegitarian, and i bought chicken flavored ramen (soup and noodles) because i thought the flavor mean that they didnt use real chicken in it!. However, I read the ingredients, and it has chicken powder, chicken fat, and fish and shrimp in it!!!!!!!! luckily i read the box before eating it! so my question is, did you know that!? what other foods have animal products in them that you wouldnt guess had them!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:

+yes twinkies and mostly all other hostess snacks had beef in them, I noticed w/ a couple products that they no longer had beef but finally switched to using vegtable oil!. so read hostess very carefully as well as all products just to be sure!.

It's not technically raamen, but there are a lot of instant noodle packets out there, usually in an asian food mart or the health/vegetarian section, that are vegetarian!. Pancit Canton has a few delicious flavors where the chicken flavor is entirely fake!. There's also a vegan 'chicken flavor' that comes in a cup, it's by Dr sombody or other!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

anything that contains gelatin does!.
Gelatin is boiled down teeth, horns, bones, and recently I heard eyes, either way, gross and very un-veggie!.
You need to be careful, especially for soups that they do not have any meat broth!.
You have to read the ingredients on EVERYTHING!.
My mom bought a can of beans for chili couple nights ago, with BEEF broth in them, she used the for my dads lunch, but it was a close call!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
