I would wait til the next batch!. If they got frosted in the fridge, they will get soft and soggy soon after reaching room temperature!. You can still use them for cooking like that, but do so within the week!.
Part of storing onions is in the hardening of the outside skins!. Refrigeration softens the outside skin and makes their shelf life shorter by a mile!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Remember that fruits and vegetables grow in nature, and they haven't been in a fridge when farmers harvest them!. They're kept cold to slow the process of bacterial growth (the speed of which varies on the product)!. I normally keep them in the refrigerator but that's just out of old habit!. I know some people don't do that and their food is fine!. They'll last longer in the fridge, but they won't go bad overnight or anything!. =)Www@FoodAQ@Com
It is OK to leave them out!. I keep mine in the mesh bag that they come in and they stay fine and healthy for upto a month!!! Just make sure you dont keep the onions next to the potatoes since the chemicals in onions make potatoes rot faster!.
also if you have a half cut onion then I would consider putting that in Tupperware and storing it in the fridge!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
