What can be made with the left over broccoli stems? ?!

Question: What can be made with the left over broccoli stems!? !?
My mom always cuts the heads off and steams them, but tosses out the stem!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Well, ask her if she could just cut them off, but also steam them with the rest so you can eat them!. They taste exactly the same, they just don't have the fluffiness of the floret!. It's really a waste, since the majority of a head of broccoli is stems!. If that doesn't work for you, you could start a compost heap!. Or, if there's wooded areas around where you live, just take them there & scatter them!. Rabbits (maybe deer too!?) love broccoli!. :) Or, if you like raw broccoli, you could just dip them for a snack!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

One of the cleverest tricks I've ever seen was to peel and steam the stems!. Cut into small dice and dry them in a dehydrator!. Put the small pieces in a coffee mill and grind to a powder!. Put the powder in a jar and refrigerate!. Add to soups or dishes as a seasoning!. It tastes like asparagus!. You don't have the problem with an odor, though!. (And I can verify that!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com
