Question: Burn Fat Without Losing Weight!?
Hello!. I asked this in the diet and fitness part, but it wasn't much help!. I figured there are probably some pretty healthy people here so!.!.!.

Hello!. I am not fat, I am actually skinny with a little fat left over from where I use to be very, very big!. I am five feet, six inches tall, 130 pounds, and about 16-17 percent body fat!. I use to be right at five feet tall and weighed 163 pounds!. I lost the weight healthfully down to 120ish but was still about 18% body fat, and now I'm 130 pounds and still about 17% body fat!.

I would like to be able to get down to about 12 percent body fat, but without really taking my weight down!. Like, if I lose down to 12 percent body fat while losing weight, I'll just be a stick!. I don't wanna be big and bulky, I just don't want to be scrawny!. Just an average teenage guy's body!.

What can I do!? I eat very healthy and I am vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com


Answers:
The only way to have less fat without losing weight is to replace it with another tissue, and the only one I know of that we can readily grow more of is muscle!.

This would be done with resistance exercises, such as weight-lifting, using weights that are heavy enough to exhaust the muscles in less than 12 repetitions!. (Less than 8 would be even better)!.

Before and after working out, eat carbs for energy and protein to replace the muscles, and always give the muscles a day or 2 to rest and rebuild before working them again!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Build muscle!. Not body builder muscles but just enough for some definition!.Muscle is actually heavier than fat so if you build muscles, you may look slimmer and more fit but not lose any and even gain some weight!. Look at athletes!. They usually weigh more than they look!.
But before you start of any program, it's a good idea to visit your doc and seek help from a pro at least in the beginning!. A lot of failures and injuries occur when newbies start something without expert help or advice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
