Help With Vegetarianism?!

Question: Help With Vegetarianism!?
I've been thinking about becoming a vegetarian for a couple of years!. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the transition because my parents (Chinese if it matters) aren't exactly approving of being so selective about food!.

Plus I'm low on cash and they're stingy about money, so how can I provide the food on my own!? I'm still not working age, should I start when I start getting my own income!? One more problem is that I can't swallow pills!. I'm pretty sure that vegetarians take certain pills to receive nutrients they can't get from their food!. Would this pose as a problem!? I would be extremely thankful for any advice, tips, or guidelines!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you should try to make the transition as best as you can!.
Avoid eating meat whenever possible!.I suggest that you get involved in preparing meals!. I'm sure your parents would appreciate that!. In doing so you can help more with selection of groceries and just loading up on veggies, legumes, etc!. However I can relate with you on the Chinese traditions I was home this past weekend and my mother made my favorite steam buns!.!. I just ate the sweet bean (protein) centered ones!. Won ton soup was available but I didn't have any!. Tofu is also a good source of protein for vegetarians!.

If you are considering vegetarianism you may want to research how to get more of these vitamins & minerals from your food diet rather then taking supplements:
Iron,Calcium,Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Zinc, Iron, Protein, Fiber

For 7 solid months I've been Lact-ovo vegetarian (eat dairy, eggs) on occasion I eat seafood fish, scallops, shrimp!. (Some would call this a Pescetarian)!. I have started by stopping consumption of chicken, turkey, pork, beef, etc!.

Goodluck!

Since meat is expensive being a vegetarian saves money!. If you increase legumes like beans and peanuts you'll have all the protein and B vitamins you need!. Tell you're parents that you'll eat whatever they give you so long as they take the meat out!. Some vegetarians are picky and the expect the menu to be built around them!. This is usually inconvenient for the household and that's why some families are resistant to it!. If your parents still say no you'll probably have to wait till you have your own income!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your in luck, Chinese cooking is the easiest to convert to vegetarian dishes!. Just tell your parents that your going to use tofu, beens, seeds, nuts, rice, eggs and dairy inplace of meat in your diet from now on!.

BTW: We don't take any pills!.
