Happy birthday!! =)

My friend is a vegetarian and at her birthday party a few years ago they served re-fried bean tacos: canned re-fried beans, cooked (more liked heated, really) on the stove with a packet of taco seasoning!.
When lunch came around, her mom had set the beans in a big bowl with a spoon, and around it she'd put several little bowls full of toppings - shredded cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, salsa, guacamole, etc!.!.!. and there was a plate piled with taco shells!. Everyone helped themselves, and we were all surprised at how great the beans were as a substitute for meat!. Check with the people invited to see if they're okay with that idea, though!.
Other ideas are simple pasta dishes like spaghetti, obviously with meatless sauce!.

Have a great party!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are lots of great recipes that even non vegetarians would like at "The Fat Free Vegan Kitchen" website!. But if you don't feel like cooking a lot you can just offer up some veggies, fruit, nuts, crackers/chips with dips (veggie dip, hummus, or cheese, etc)!. Feeding a vegetarian is really quite easy compared to feeding a vegan!. So don't worry!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can substitute meat with fake meat!. There are a lot of different types depening on the country you live!.

For Europe, you have Linda McCartneys range as well as Quorn!. You can buy burgers, nuggets and hot dogs which doesn't contain any meat!. also big supermarkets will have a vegetarian aisle containing their own brand!. You can also buy deli slices such as ham & chicken!.

If you live in the states then you are spoilt for choice!. The morningstar range is fantastic and while I visited I was amazed at how nice the 'Smart Dogs' range was!.

All can be purchased from your local grocery store!.
