Why do vegans and vegetarians silly names for meat eggs etc?!

Question: Why do vegans and vegetarians silly names for meat eggs etc!?
Name like "chicken periods" -- I mean I could start calling beans "plat fetuses" or something-- I understand the issues with factory framing and such-- Still, I wonder if the silly names are meat to make other people stop eating the foods (I doubt this would be effective) or if they are just a part of the vegan reminding herself that she would never eat these things!?

That's just the Christy-troll and her other accounts that call them that here!. They are pretend vegans making trouble here in the forum!. For months on end Christy used to talk about examining the corn in her crap!. This is just her latest shtick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eggs technically are chicken periods!. Just like in humans, chickens ovulate, and when the egg isn't fertilized, it's discarded outside of the body!. In humans, however, we don't actually see the egg because it is a lot smaller and disguised by endometrial tissue!. Chickens eggs are much larger!.

The reason vegans use these "silly" names is to instill into omnivores' minds (and to remind themselves of) what, exactly, they are actually eating when they choose to consume animal products!.

FYI: The eggs are not actually unborn chickens; they are simply eggs, which have not been fertilized!. However, this lack of fertilization is due to forced separation from potential mates, and is usually accompanied with unnecessary torture, artificial hormones, steroids, and a lack of personal space, being crammed into tight-fitting cages or stuffed into small rooms (known as free-range chickens)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've only ever heard eggs being referred to as periods after someone (non-veggie) tried to say that they're baby chickens so vegans should also be pro-life!. Eggs ARE reproductive cells!. I've heard the period thing used as an analogy/comparison, but never heard anyone say, "I don't eat chicken periods" or "scrambled chicken periods!." (This is with the exception of one very vocal poster, who is thought to be a troll!.)

I personally don't usually use "silly names", except as a joke now and then!. It's always been kind of a surprise when it upsets a non-veg!. (Non-veggies are usually the ones saying, "YUMMMMM this dead cow is SOOOO GOOOD!.")

Another interesting question would be, "Why did we come up with euphemisms for some of the stuff that we eat!?" I find it really disturbing how uncomfortable some people are thinking about food as what it is!. If you're not comfortable eating cow, don't eat it!. Calling something "beef" or a "steak" doesn't change the fact that it's part of a cow!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Omg, no idea why people down rated u Christine b/c that is so true!
I think it is more to let people know what it really is they are eating and it reminds me what I used to eat and how I will never eat it again!

Edit:I agree with misty 2! To many trolls down rating people tonight!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've never heard anyone, besides trolls, use that phrase in daily questions!.

I've only heard people use that when people ask about eggs!.!.!. which is correct instead of saying "unborn chickens"Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is propaganda!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

plant fetus isn't that gross because!.!.!.it's a plant!. It just reminds them to never get near it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
