Question: I am trying to become a vegetarian and don't know how to get mt protien!?
I have tried tofu and don't like it at all!. I don't know how else i can get protien besides tofu!. please helpWww@FoodAQ@Com

Well, plain tofu does taste bad, im not gonna lie!lol!
But when cooked into things it takes the flavor of whatever it is cooked into! It tastes really good when cooked into vegetable soups, tastes like noodles with a tomatoes taste b/c the tomato broth!.
If you do not already know, vegetarians should always have a b12 supplement to stay healthy!.
Peanut butter also has a lot!. If you are still growing!. A multivitamin is essential to get all vitamins!. I am 13 and healthy!. Been vegan for 1 full year now after I was vegetarian for 2!. Best decision I ever made, but make sure you are getting all the correct nutrition!.=)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was a vegetarian for 6-7 years!. Beans have some of the amino acids that make a complete protein and grains have the rest!. If you mix beans and grains, you get a complete protein!. also, you can use nut butters and tofu, which is made from soybean!. I used to like to use different grains like millet for a change along with brown rice!. Get some of the whole grain breads like Ezekiel bread for some hearty nutrition in your diet!. Hey how did you cook your tofu!? You can marinade it with all sorts then grill it or fry it if your eating it plain its not gonna taste nice!. Its a vehicle for flavor so use your imagination!.!.!. Put it in some olive oil then start adding things you like if you like spicy food add some dried chillies if you like medeterain food add lemon juice lime juice be creative and you ll love it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Beans - High in fiber and antioxidants!. An excellent superfood!.

also consider supplements such as a daily vitamin to make sure you get a sufficient amount of protein, and if your female, iron!.

You can find protein in soy milk, nuts, tofu, beans, peanut butter, etc!. Read the book "Skinny *****", it really gives you a good focus and meal plans to come vegan!. There are also protein drinks that are for vegans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have started using this new protein supplement called Papayamine!. It is made from papaya and is better because it is not made form milk like whey and won't cause bloating or gas like soy!. You just mix a little scoop in orange juice or it even comes in capsules!. Plus it has all the benefits of the papaya fruit!

try some of the faux-meat stuff, like veggie burgers, meatless hot dogs, buffalo wings, corn dogs, etc!. etc!. some of it actually tastes pretty decent, also eggs, nuts, beans, quinoa (which is kinda like rice)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Or if you don't eat eggs black beans and brown rice!.
