I have a question for vegans,?!

Question: I have a question for vegans,!?
Do vegans eat bread!? I know this question has been asked before, but the point I am asking about is because bread usually is made with yeast, and isn't yeast considered to be alive!? While I am not veg or vegan I do realize our family consumes way too much meat and I am leaning towards changing that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Vegans avoid products made from animals because we believe that animals have the capacity for suffering!.

Yeast are not animals and do not belong to the animal kingdom!. They are a fungi and do not possess any neurological structures that we recognize as required to experience pain or suffering!. Yeast is a perfectly vegan product!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, yeast is vegan!. Yeast is a fungus!. It's not an animal, nor a plant!. Bread may contain whey or other cow-derived ingredients (as well as pig enzymes and hair) so it's best to buy organic bread with few ingredients, if at all!. I personally make my own "raw bread" at home using a dehydrator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I eat bread (in low quantities)!.
Not all breads are made with yeast!.
Even if it does contain yeast, I still eat it as the microorganisms that are "alive" are minute!. They are not sentient creatures (like cows, pigs, chickens, fish, etc)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, most vegans eat bread!. Yeast is considered to be alive, but so are plants!. They are not animals, so that that's why we will eat them!. The same for mushrooms!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Umm, How much meat is too much!? Eat what you want!. Don't listen to what the zealots in the section are going to tell you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
