Not according to the National Osteoporosis Foundation!. They recommend Vit!. D fortified milk!.
And it's not true that 70% of the World population don't drink milk!. Cows milk maybe!. But more people drink goats milk in the world than cows milk!. There's also horse milk, camel milk, sheep milk, buffalo milk, etc!. etc!. Milk between species used varies, but not by much!. There's some kind of milk in pretty much every culture!.
And there is no estrogen in milk, not even with cows given hormones!. The hormone sometimes given to cows is a protein not a steroid!. Not even close to the same!.

You do need calcium, but not from animal sources!. Animal protein metabolizes in our bodies forming two strong acids, sulfuric and phosphoric!. To keep our blood pH slightly alkaline, our bodies need to neutralize (buffer) these acids, and calcium is the best substance our bodies have to do this!. And the most plentiful source of calcium is, you guessed it, our bones!. Animal protein also contains large amounts of phosphorous, which reacts with calcium to form an insoluble compound, inhibiting calcium absorption!. If you eat a diet high in animal protein, it doesn't matter how much calcium you consume, you will still lose bone mass!.
While soy or plant proteins do not leach your bone calcium and allow you to maintain a positive calcium balance in your body!.

Yes, in short, milk accelerates what it advertises to prevent: osteoporosis!. An excess of protein zaps calcium from the bones!. You don't see too many Asians with bone problems, do you!? Their consumption of dairy products up til the last century was null!. (Mongolia is an exception: they eat anything including horse muscles and goat cheese - they also die the youngest, go figure)!. On the contrary, how many Americans do you see with bone problems!? Plenty! Osteoporosis is an American epidemic!. Americans also happen to be the largest milk suckers on the planet!. Well if there are hormones in milk, they can contribute to excess Estrogen levels at a younger age in girls!. As they grow older, and go through menopause, the sudden lack of estrogen promotes rapid bone loss as osteoclasts break down bones to provide the body with calcium!.
