i decided to become a vegan but i was wondering can being a Vegan make muscle mass smaller!?!?!?And also how hard is it to become a vegan lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

yes, usually you will lose muscle because it's hard to get all the protein and nutrients your body needs!. Can it be done!? yes, but it's A LOT harder!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

As long as you eating sufficient protein and following a good exercise routine, your muscle mass will not be impacted by being a vegan!. The body does not distinguish between protein from meats or vegan sources!.

Being a vegan is a choice and, like any other choice, requires you to be diligent in what you do!. If you're training for mass you will most likely need your caloric intake to be 60% carbohydrates, 25% protein and 15% fats!. The carbs & healthy fats will be easy -- getting enough protein (from non-animal sources) might be easier if you initially consult a nutritionist!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually, normal people get 4 times the amount of protein they need! If you want to keep your muscles big, you will need extra protein since you normally eat the right amount of protein when vegan, but to build muscles you need more!. Just add at least 1 serving of tofu a day!. You ca grill tofu and change it into any flavor you want!
Beans and nuts are good for protein as well!.

Reading labels get annoying, and you have to be careful what you eat in restaurants!. Make sure if you are in a Mexican restaurant to ask if the refried beans have lard in them!.

No!. It's almost impossible to not get enoguh protein if you actually eat!.

I'm not vegan yet, almost there!. i didn't even plan this, but as I was looking back at my food journal for the week i realized i ate vegan monday - thursday!.!.!. darn that cheese fondue on friday! not that hard!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ya!. most people who become vegans just give up within a few days!.
if your a vegan first off you dont eat meat!.(includes eggs,milk) or anything with meat or animal products!. or additives in food!. which that eliminates alot of food!. especailly snackes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eating the wrong diet whether it includes meat products in it or not can reduce muscle mass!. Its all about getting the right nutrients, so if your worried about muscle mass make sure you are getting loads of protein from beans etc!. That way you will avoid losing muscle mass!Www@FoodAQ@Com

well most likely you will lose muscle mass unless you keep your protein up with beans and such!. and to the if its hard question you are going to have to read the labels on EVERYTHING you eatWww@FoodAQ@Com
