Answers:
May be best to try Tempeh or Seitan in place of Tofu!. Plus it would make for a different texture than Tofu!. I recently cooked tempeh with eggplant, red peppers, and garlic seasoned with some cajun spices, salt, pepper and put that over barley!. Then over everything a black bean sauce!. Side of brussel sprouts!. Of course you could add onions, mushrooms, or whatever else you can think of!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make this all the time!. It is soo delicious!

Tofu sloppy joes

2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, minced
1 pound firm or extra firm tofu, pressed
4 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp bbq sauce
2 tbsp water
1 tsp chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
bread or hamburger buns
Preparation:
In a small bowl, mash the tofu with a fork until it has a crumbly consistency!.
Sautee the onion in the oil until done, about 3-5 minutes!. Add tofu and sautee another 8-10 minutes, until tofu is cooked, stirring frequently!. Reduce the heat to medium low!.

Add ketchup, bbq sauce, water, chili powder and salt and pepper and stir well!. Allow sloppy joes to cook another 5-7 minutes, until ingredients are well mixed and hot!.

There is a soup I like to make with tofu!. I get the extra firm and cube it!. The soup consists of chicken broth (veggie broth for you! unless there is a sub chicken flavored broth), rice noodles (or rice sticks), green onions and tofu!. Then when it's done and in my bowl, I add a couple pieces of cut up thai peppers (very hot!), a squeeze from about 1/6 of a lemon and some fresh sliced green onion!. It's great!Www@FoodAQ@Com

First off, are you pressing the tofu before you eat it!? Watery tofu is one of the more disgusting foods I've ever eaten!. Tofu jerky is my new favorite!. You can find bunches of recipes online, but I just soak mine in watered down soy sauce before dehydrating it!. And if you just can't get used to tofu, there's always tempeh, seiten, soyeans, and so much more!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to freeze mine, thaw it out, poke holes in it and then marinade it with ginger, lemon juice, earth balance (or margarine) a dash of sea salt and pepper!. Then I stick it on the grill or broil it!. Freezing it before hand gives it a chewy texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I let mine sit in some sauce for about a day (put it in a bag of sauce in the morning and take it out at night)
I have used this for both stir fry and baked it in the oven and chopped it over some salad (and used some as a sandwich for lunch)Www@FoodAQ@Com

soak it in a marinade like you would meat and then grill it that is my favorite some good marinades are like soy sauce or veggie broth!.

hope that helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com
