Is using boric acid to keep roaches out of your apartment vegan?!

Question: Is using boric acid to keep roaches out of your apartment vegan!?
I live in NYC-- Even if you keep a clean house they may come and I do not like them!. I have used boric acid for years to keep them away!. It's a mild powder that repels them and kills them if they get too much of it in their legs!. Is it "not vegan" to do so!?

What do vegans who live in big cites do!? I mean other than just keeping food locked away and sweeping and cleaning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
i suppose it wouldn't technically be vegan, because you are hurting and killing living animals!. But what else are you gonna do!? I know i would do the same!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is a living being and technically part of the kingdom Animalia!. You can potentially make a "humane" trap along the lines of this: http://www!.k12!.hi!.us/~rkubota/digiphoto/!.!.!.
I've heard of several roach repellents, although I am unsure if any of them work!. From what I've read catnip, bay leaves, garlic, cucumber slices, and hedgeapples can safely keep the little critters away!.

You control your lifestyle, if you have no problem killing bugs then do it!. If you do then try alternatives!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
