Answers:
There is no such thing!. A vegan is a person who consumes NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS whatsoever!. I think you're thinking of lacto-vegetarians (those who consume dairy products) and ovo-lacto vegetarians (those who consume dairy products AND eggs)!. Vegetatians and vegans have one main thing in common - neither eat meat!. :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always thought that a vegan doesn't eat any animal products whatsoever!. A lacto vegan would presumably accept milk products, which don't normally involve killing the animal!. An ovo-lacto vegan would also eat eggs, which also doesn't involve killing an animal, unless, of course the eggs were fertilised!.
An ovo-lacto vegan is not a vegan, he's a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Neither exists!.

Lacto- refers to milk!. Ovo- refers to eggs!.

People can be lacto-vegetarians (vegetarians who eat dairy) or lacto-ovo-vegetarians (vegetarians who eat dairy and eggs) but *by definition* vegans eat neither!.

Vegans don't eat anything of animal origin whatsoever, so a lacto-vegan is a contradiction in terms!. Eating dairy would mean one was not a vegan at all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think there is such a thing!. A vegan wouldn't eat eggs or milk!.

A lacto-vegetarian is a vegetarian that will consume dairy products but no meat or eggs!.

An ovo-vegetarian will consume eggs but not dairy or meat!.

An ovo-lacto vegetarian is basically a "standard" vegetarian!.!.!. they'll consume eggs and dairy but no meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lacto-vegetarians are the people who eat plant foods and dairy products
Ovo-vegetarians are the people who eat plant foods and eggs
Ovo-Lacto-vegetarians are the people who eat plant foods, dairy products, and eggs

By definition there can not be any ovo-lacto-vegans!. Once the vegans break any rules they are jut vegetarians!. Vegan are strict in their definitionsWww@FoodAQ@Com

hm i believe that "lacto vegan" was mean a vegan that still consume milk!. and "ovo-lacto vegan" is a vegan that still consume milk and eggs!.
"true vegan" is a vegan that only consume on vegetables and fruit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's teling you what they eat, so:

lacto (from lactose) - vegan diet that includes dairy products
ovo - lacto (ovo for egg, lacto for dairy) - vegan diet that includes eggs and dairy produce

Www@FoodAQ@Com

If I remember correctly, lacto vegetarian is a vegetarian who still has dairy products, and lacto ovo is a vegetarian that still has dairy products and eggs!.

Hope this helps and good luck with your h/w =]Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think lacto vegan means a predominantly dairy diet (milk cheese etc!.) with the exception of eggs and ovo means egg that they will eat eggs along with dairy products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lacto vegan eats eggs, milk and so on apart from the meat!.
ovo-lacto dont eat anything from a animal!.
I hoped i helped uWww@FoodAQ@Com
