First date, where to eat? (she is vegan)?!

Question: First date, where to eat!? (she is vegan)!?
Well, i really like this girl and I a friend suggested taking her out to eat then taking her somewhere fun, like adventure zone or something!. This is for a first date and we have barely been talking for a week, but im sure she likes me and I like her!. I havent really done this sorta thing cause so I am looking for some advice!.

What kind of place should I take her if she is a vegan!? I am not really a big meat eater, but I do like dairy products!. Would it be disrespectful or would it disgust her if I ate cheese or something!? Or is that something that just varies from person to person!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

How sweet that you're asking! (Thoughtful = big turn-on!.)

I think your best bet is to ask her where she wants to go!. Have a couple of suggestions ready if she says "it's up to you" (Indian and Thai are safe bets for vegetarians and vegans, as they almost always have both vegetarian and vegan options)!. When you're at the restaurant, ask her if she minds if you order something non-veg!. She probably won't, but it's nice to share, so you might wanna consider it anyway!.

Being vegan myself, I find I have the most luck at asian (japanese mainly) and mexican restaurants!. But why not try asking her where she likes to go!? Since you know she's vegan, she might have a specific place, or places, that she goes and knows she can find something to eat!. It really sucks being stuck with a bare salad or another dry bleck veg burger over and over and over again!.
Good luck!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would suggest that u go to a nice restaurant that has a broad menu with lots of veggie items (with the nicer restaurants, they WILL accomodate a veg if the item is not on the menu)!. That way U both can enjoy dinner!.

I'm unaware of the city u live in, but an inexpensive restaurant that may be in other cities is the Cheese Cake factory!.

Thai food spots are good too cuz they gotta lotta veggies!.

Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

take her to a vegan restaurant =)
their are plenty around, where abouts are you!? search it on google and i'm sure you'll find some places!.
i don't think it would disgust her or anything if you ate cheese, but i guess she'd have more respect for you if you ate something vegan while with her!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are many Indian vegetarian restaurants you could go to!. There are some Chinese restaurants as well that are pure veg/vegan!.
You would have to ask her if she would be ok with you eating cheese!. It really varies from person to person!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Thai or chinese are always big winners!. Just watch the hidden ingredients like fish sauces and the like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Where do you live!? Most towns in UK (and also in Barcelona where I live) have several Veggie restaurants that will offer Vegan options!. Check the yellow pages or www!.toptable!.co!.uk (if you are in Europe!)!.

Unless she is super-millitant then don't worry about eating vegan yourself, although ordering a big steak might give out the wrong impression! If you are worried about what she will think about your choices then politely ask 'do you mind if I order X as it contains dairy products!?' as a courtesy - it will make you look sensitive ;-)!.

If you go to a 'non-veggie' restaurant that claims to offer non-meat options, be sure to check with them before-hand whether their 'non-meat' options are really vegan!. Some people, including restauranteurs, can be really stupid about this; so beware of things like 'vegetable' soup made with a meat stock etc!. So yes, if you can't find a veggie/vegan resto then make a few calls to other places you have in mind, checking what options they can offer!.

Enjoy your date!Www@FoodAQ@Com
