What do vegetarians and vegans feed their dogs and cats?!

I fed my dog and cat the BARF (raw) diet!. It would be cruel to not acknowledge their systems are designed for meat, so I found a local place to get my meat from!. They toured me around the farm and answered all my questions about the process and I can say with 100% certainty that the animals were treated properly start to finish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, I had a cat long before I went veg, for one!.
She's been on prescription dry food for a few years--renal insufficiency is common in older cats--because crunchies are good for a kitty's teeth, and she gets canned food because it has a higher moisture content and keeps her hydrated!. Both are meat-based, but I go for the more natural canned foods!.
That said, she does go bonkers for my vegan food, something I try to discourage, and she really goes nuts when my vegetarian boyfriend has food, especially because he doesn't exactly discourage her from stealing food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i'm a college student and my dogs are at home!. but i am looking into a less cruel dog food!. one that has regulations so that they are not just eating the parts that humans can't eat but good healthy parts!.

I feed my cat dry cat food, and some wet as occasional treats!. I can live with out meat, and choose to do so!. Cats are meant to eat meat so they can't live with out it!. Why should Kookie **my boy kitty** have to suffer for my choice!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
