Answers:
i had just the same problem once upona time in my veg-yoga-etc!. days!.!.!.It does separate you by the way from the most immediate family!. The best is to bring it to them slowly slowly, but make sure that you have good reasons too, since they will try to bury you in questions and convert you backWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's not really up to your parents in the end: it's your body, and you've got a right to eat as you please ultimately!. However, it might be worth making sure that you have info on the veggie diet, and are planning your meals properly: see vegsoc!.org and veganhealth!.org if you need to educate yourself about veggie diets!. Parents can often be worried about this, although 99/100 times, there's no need to be!. Be kind and respectful, and make out that this isn't an attack on their beliefs or way of doing things, or a fad: it's something you want to do for yourself, and believe it will benefit you!.

Besides, adopting a well planned veggie diet shows you have concern for health and/or animal welfare, the environment, human suffering in animal agriculture or similar!. I think any parent can be proud of their children having this sort of compassion, and wanting to make a positive change for themselves and others!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You must be young if you are afraid to tell them!. It isn't like you are doing something wrong!. You are doing sometime very healthy and human!. I don't see how you could be a vegetarian for three months without them having any idea!. Just tell them that you have become a vegetarian plain and simple!. It's your life and your body so you can do whatever you want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My daughter was so worried when she told me she was smoking, but like any sensible parent I gave her the opportunity to make her own decisions!. After two years she stopped, but the important thing as a parent is to allow your kids to make their own decisions!. You don't know your parents won't support your decision to be a vegitarian until you tell them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know being a vegetarian can concern parents because they think you won't be getting enough nutrients if you cut out meat!. Try to anticipate what their concerns will be, and educate yourself to answer their questions!. If they are still uncertain, you'll just have to stick to it and show them that you are going to follow through!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would print out information that shows you have researched your choice!. Find information about why being a vegetarian is a healthy choice and let them read it!. If you show them that you know what you're doing and why you're doing it and that you're not going to become a sickly waif, they shouldn't be freaked out by it!.

You print this out for them for starters!.

why did you not tell your parents!? When my daughter told us we said we would support her if she didn't expect special meals made in addition to what I cook for the rest of the family!. I do make sure there are a lot of veggies for her to eat!.
I bought her cookbooks and one night a week she makes dinner!. Could be anything she wants and everyone has to have some!.
As a parent, you have to pick your battles and as long as she's healthy and getting the right nutrients I see nothing wrong with eating differently than us!.
I can't wait to see what Thanksgiving brings to our table!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tell them!. Next time you sit down for dinner, just do not eat the meat!. Or maybe find some veg recipes online and ask if you could make them for the family!?
Or next time they ask if you want to go somewhere like!.!.idk!.!. KFC for dinner, casually say "No thank you, I don't eat anything that had eyes," or something to that affect!.
Good luck!.
My mom thinks me being vegan is a phase, and I'm 29!. Lol!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you live with them and it's been 3 months and they haven't figured it out for themselves yet, I'm sorry to say that they must not care!. Go ahead and tell them!.

No matter what the scenario, just tell them!. What good is keeping it a secret!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wait another three months!.!.!.catch them when they are drunk at a party and laughing!.!.!.!.!.!.then they wont care!.!.!.be sure to film it!.!.!.!.then they will be so embarrassed that what your cause is will pale in comparison to their social faux pas!.
