Okay, I need to make a big decision?!

Question: Okay, I need to make a big decision!?
Well, I've head that vegetarians have higher IQ's than both vegans and meat eaters!. I'm a vegan, but I want to be really smart (I am pretty smart at the moment)!. Should I switch to being a vegetarian (ovo-lacto)!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Correlation does not equal causation!.

I think you should stick with whichever diet feels best to you!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. The people who decide to become vegan or vegetarian tend to already be smart people!. A vegan diet in no way decreases your intelligence, nor does dairy or milk increase it!. If you decide to start eating eggs and dairy again, I hope it's because the cruelty involved in producing them has ended, and not for selfish reasons!.

Just my opinion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you're referring to that BBC article online!. Sorry, I don't have the link!. The article explains that people with higher IQ's to start with are more likely to become vegetarian (example: Albert Einstein)!. Not to say being vegetarian doesn't make you smarter, but really it's being smart that makes you choose to be vegetarian!.
As far as switching from vegan to vegetarian, no one on Y!answers can make that decision for you!. Ask yourself why you became a vegan in the first place and see if the reason(s) still make sense to you!. If not, then try vegetarian for a while!. I've never heard of someone going from vegan to vegetarian, it just seems odd!. But hey, like I said, it's up to you!. Being vegetarian will not make you smarter (or will it!?), but choosing to be veg*n as a meat eater is a very smart move!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The study I found does not say that higher IOs are a result of being a vegan or a vegetarian, but that those with higher intelligence were more likely to BECOME vegan or vegetarian!. IQs do not vary much after childhood, and your diet is unlikely to have any effect- other than maybe increasing circulation and concentration, thus improving test taking skills!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have never heard of that!.!.!.!.!.but have to say it is probably not true!.
Ok, wait!. I jusetgoogled it and found this study that says all the in-concistancies in that study that was done!
http://www!.animalfreedom!.org/english/inf!.!.!.
lol, so probably not true!.
Vegan is better for the environment, your health and the animals! Stay Vegan and just learn as much as you can, then you will be smart!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!

Just add more nuts to your menu, extra virgin olive oil and make sure you eat raw broccoli!. These are brain foods!.

Your brain needs oils to work properly!.

Eating raw broccoli is brilliant, chop it really small and add it to salads, fruit salad and dip it into hummus dips!.!.!.!.

You'll notice the difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, why are you vegan!? If you're doing it for ethical/health reasons, a long hard thinking session will straighten that one out!. Just remember, all those eggs and milk with make you sick!.

If your vegan for a fad, I really don't care what you do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think eggs and milk will keep you from becoming less intelligent!. Stay veg@n if it's what you truly believe in!. I became a veg@n a few months ago and this year in school I have all A's!. Something I haven't done in a long time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

What you heard is wrong, just propaganda!. How would eating eggs and dairy make you smarter!?!? Switch if you want to!. It's your life!. I'll just have to assume this is a joke question!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well you can try it!. I can't exactly remember what vegan means but if they say that vegetarians are smarter I'd try it!. What do you have to lose!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Diet isn't relative to IQ, we are born with an IQ and it varies a little as we age!. But changing eating habits later in life wouldn't impact it that muchWww@FoodAQ@Com

no!. drinking udder secretions and eating chicken ovum will no way increase your iq!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you should every person who becomes a vegetarian is saving an animals Life go ahead and shoot for it! Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
