Is soy okay in moderation?!
It seems like the only meat alternatives available contain some form of unfermented soy!. I have read up on Soy protein isolate, and there are some strong cases against its use!. I am really confused as to whether I should avoid soy altogether or just use it in moderation (say 1 serving per day)!. Any help is appreciated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, eat the less processed soy--such as tofu, tempeh, miso, and soy milks--and avoid or limit the soy protein isolate!. When you buy soy milk, get the unsweetened varieties if you're using it for baking!. And get organic whenever possible as a lot of conventional soy is genetically modified, and you want to avoid GMOs!.
The cases against its use are brought up by anti-vegetarian, pro-meat, pro-dairy organizations!. Now, if you're worried about the hormones in soy, you should know that most cows' milk contains far more powerful hormones than the relatively weak phytoestrogens in soy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use soy at least once daily and everything seems fine with me!.
