Does a lack of protein make you more tired? (less energy)?!
I've been a vegetarian for about a month and i have been SO tired!. My friend told me it was the lack of protein!. (obviously meat is a HUGE source of protein and now im not getting it) so could that really be why!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
actually, here, this is simple: a lack of anything would make you tired!.
since you're vegetarian, you may be lacking many of the amino acids contained in meat!. there are about 20 amino acids and you can't synthetize 10 of them!. these, you have to get through food, and the biggest source is meat in general!.
try to eat more red beans and high protein vegetables if you want to stay vegetarian (milk and eggs are an excellent source too)!. if things don't get better, you'll have to think about changing your diet since it's not doing you any good!.
just in case, take vitamin and minerals supplements, maybe you're lacking vitamins!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Protein rich foods:

- Beans and pulses (must be combined with a complex carb in order for the body to absorb the amino acids)!.

Complex carbs:
- wholegrain foods such as brown rice, wholewheat pasta and bread etc
- Sweet potato
A healthy balanced meal should include one portion of protein, one portion of complex carbs and at least one portion of fresh veg or fruit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Protein repairs the body, so it is obviously essential!. You can get protein from food items that are not meat (i!.e nuts, eggs)!. also, a lack of vitamin b means that the body has trouble converting food in to energy!. Iron is also vital for energy and again, you will find it easier to take in iron by eating meat!. If you know the correct foods to eat as a vegetarian, there is no real reason why you should lack nutrients and energy!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It can because it weakens your heart and respiratory systems!. An iron deficiency is more likely as protein deficiency is very rare in civilized regions!.
"Lack of protein, can cause growth failure, loss of muscle mass, decreased immunity, weakening of the heart and respiratory system, and death!. Protein malnutrition leads to the condition known as kwashiorkor, suffered especially by people in regions of the world where protein is not available!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course!. That's why when becoming vegetarian you have to eat sources of protein not just veggies and pasta and all that!. You have to eat nuts (walnuts and almonds) and lots of beans or tofu or even protein shakes!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I doubt it!. I bet it has more to do with not eating enough variety!. Try switching it up a little!. I eat 8 different vegetables and fruits every day!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
definitely, why shortchange yourself this necessary nutrient!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
