Question: For vegetarians, do you value the life of an animal more highly than the life of an unborn baby!?
In other words, would you be willing to have an abortion before you would be willing to eat meat!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Seeing this question posted many times, it has lead me to wonder: If we went cannibalistic and started eating babies, would vegans suddenly become staunchly pro-life!?

Until then, I see it as hypocritical!. Do you respect life or not!? And if the baby has "no idea" what is happening to it, maybe we could start doing ultrasounds of cows to see if they are carrying a bull or heifer calf and then if it's a bull, we could do a partial birth abortion on it and use it for veal!. It would probably make the best veal ever and then we could totally avoid the whole "veal is cruel" argument!. You know, since veal is cruel but abortion isn't!.

I value actual lives over potential lives!. Consider THIS: Every year, over 10 billion animals are killed in the U!.S!. for food!. Every year, roughly 1!.5 million abortions take place, give or take a couple hundred thousand!. Do the math, and almost as many animals die per hour as abortions take place every year!.

Furthermore, these animals suffer for weeks or months before they're killed, while an embryo--because the vast majority of abortions take place before the 10-week mark, did you know!?--does not because it doesn't have the capacity to feel pain until the second trimester!.

Most pro-choice advocates believe in contraception, by the way!. Preventing an unwanted pregnancy is far better than having to end one!. I always wonder, though, how people who call themselves pro-life can eat dead animals!. And support war!. And the death penalty!. And unfettered access to guns!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have worded your question rather emotively, leaving no doubt of you own position!.

You've also worded it rather illogically - nobody is likely to be faced with the choice of eating meat or having a termination!.

I don't think the two have anything to do with each other - you'll find that the views of vegetarians and vegans are as varied on this issue as those of meat-eaters - the percentages of veg*ns who are pro- and ant- choice are the same as the percentages of meat-eaters who are pro- and anti-choice, I'm sure!.

Many people, veg*n or not, support a woman's right to control her own fertility though!.

I'm vegan and I value human life way, way over animal life!. I'm a lifelong political activist, fighting for human rather than animal rights!.

One of the rights I've fought for for years is a woman's right to choose!. I am 100% pro-choice!.

I'm pro-choice because I value life - the lives of the thousands of women who would die without legal abortion, and the lives of the countless numbers of women who die when they cannot obtain abortions!.

In countries where abortion is illegal, women have abortions anyway - dangerous, life threatening and sometimes fatal abortions!. This used to happen in countries where abortion is legal, and still does where it is legal but in reality hard to get!.

For me it's a class issue too!. It is women without the money to buy safe abortions - something wealthy women have always been able to do, legal abortion or no - who died and continue to die!. I care about their lives so I'm pro-choice!.

I'm old enough to remember the time before abortion was legal in my country - I don't know if you are, but I somehow doubt it!. !. I remember the whispers about a friend's teenage cousin who died following a botched illegal abortion, and friends par-boiling themselves in hot baths because they feared they were pregnant!.

Stories of knitting needles, coat hangers, and other implements being used by desperate women to self-abort are not just horror stories, they are true

I am strongly in favour of women being in control of their own lives and destinies, and part of this is control over their own fertility!. Yes, prevention is better, and education about safe and effective contraception would prevent the need for some abortions!. But with the best will in the world contraception sometimes fails!. It is ludicrous to talk, as some people inevitably will, of women using abortion as contraception - abortion is a hideous experience!.

I'm vegan because I choose to minimise my contribution to animal suffering!. I'm pro-choice because I value the lives of women and their right to choose!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course the life of the unborn child is more important!. But that doesn't necessarily mean I want all animals to die, it just means that at the given circumstance, I would put the baby's life over the animal's!. It is kinda tricky, tho, because the embryo isn't "conscious" of what is happening, but I guess I'm just very pro-life!.

Still, that doesn't make meat-eating "okay" by me!. They are two different lives that have no correlation!. Slightly pointless question!. Sounds troll-ish, but I can't say!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

animals are killed and sold for human consumption and huge profits
nobody bennifits from abortion
i dont understand how those 2 things can even be compared
of course a humans life is more valued but that dosnt mean that animals lifes are not important too
the animals are not "unborn" they are liveing breathing beings!.!.!.capable of feeling pain too

and you should also undertsand that nobody wants to get an abortion and nobody does it for fun or for their job or any kind of profits like people in the meat industry

abortion is a choice
just like eating meat is a choice

We are humans!. Humans are highly intelligent creatures capable of making their own decisions no matter what anyone says!. If a woman wants an abortion, that is her prerogative!. If she would rather live with having to kill a baby than taking care of one that's on her!. It has nothing to do with me and isn't my concern!. That doesn't mean I value animals lives above unborn human lives!. I would never encourage abortion but if a woman wants one it's on her, and it's none of my business!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a vegan and my answer to your question is I would eat animal meat the same thing that I can also eat "Human meat" because meat is already died (Although should not be done by a vegan) and unborn baby is still alive!.

what do you think is your answer in my question!.

For vegetarians, do you value the life of an HUMAN more highly than the life of an unborn baby!?

Because we vegans treat animals like human!.

Let them to become alive!.
let them to be free(in wild)!.
Not to be abused!.
Animals are not ours including their milk!.

That is why god give us superior intelligence to lead the world

and, did you see Adam and Eve eaten those animals around them!?

But animal can't!.

Lead a country
Be a teacher
To become a lawyer
or to be etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I value them the same!.
i am against abortion and eating meat!.
there won't be a scenario where I would have to choose!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Duh! Do i remember anything from when i was inside my mother!? No! As far as im concerned they feel no pain and know nothing yet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I try not to eat eitherWww@FoodAQ@Com
