There is mass confusion about protein!.

Protein is everywhere in the body!.

Skin, teeth, bone, hair, blood vessels, organs, blood and the one that everyone knows!.!.!.muscle!.

Proteins are made from amino acids!. Protein if you can imagine would be a chain and the amino acids would be the links!.

Cooked animal muscle meat is indeed a very heavy chain, so the human digestive system must break it down to usable amino acid "links" so that it can be used as nutrition!.

This taxes the body tremendously and diseases could follow!.

This I believe some of my fellow yahoo uses don't understand!.

Fruits and vegetables have amino acids that are ready and usable for the body, without stress, and raw fruits and veggies even have their enzymes intact so they digest themselves!.!.!.what a bargain!.

So eat meat if you want, but it's your body that will break from all the work you make it do!.

Yes, completely misinformed!. Several times including with that whole mess/myth about "incomplete" protein and the need to combine which just doesn't go away along with the RDA which is padded making us think we need more than we do especially if we are athletic!.

It's actually a huge political issue!. There's really nothing more political than food from bananas that shaped South America (bananas are a huge food crop for huge swaths of people in the world yet that is not meat at all) which involved the United States manufacturing coups to take over resistant governments in Gautamala (while Che was there)

Meat, dairy and eggs are big business in North America especially and have been able to shape everything from the Farm Bill (a huge omnibus bill), that covers other programs also manipulated by the business interests such as the School Lunch Program, Food Stamps, and more!. They also shaped the ubiquitous Food Pyramid and nutritionism!.

There's not a lot of profit, other than in bananas but that's in self-destruct, in fruits and vegetables (yet, till they get the patents on the seeds anyway like they have with corn, soy, wheat, beets, canola, and a few others)!.

You realize that the protein in fruits and vegetables is an incomplete protein right!? That means that your body cannot absorb all the protein it!. also the amount of protein in fruits and vegetables is very very low!.

Meat itself is very healthy as long as your going about it the right way!. Obese people shove fatty meats like bacon hotdogs and bad cuts of meat into there body!. Of coarse that isn't healthy!. But a diet with leans meats like chicken and turkey and lean cuts of other meats is very important to have in your diet!. The protein is a COMPLETE protein unlike that of fruits and vegetables!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If evolved canine teeth are a sure sign to eat meat, then why do fat people want to lose weight!? Or people with diseases want them cured!? According to that theory, men are meant to wear toupees when they go bald, or else why would they loose their hairs in the first place!? Ive always known meat isnt good for you!.
Adding to that, the animals carry disease when they are killed!. Not all, but alot of them!.
They are fed harmful chemicals so they will reproduce and grow faster than the norm!.

I think so!. When people hear vegetarian they think O NO not enough protein!.
But I can tell you how much protein is in almost all the foods i eat!.

Breakfast: coco pebbles 1 gram
vitasoy vanilla 7 grams
Lunch: peanut butter 7 grams
grape jelly 0grams
wheat bread (2 slices) 4 grams
bag of fritos 2 grams

dinner: boca vegan burger 13 grams
wheat bread 4 grams
baked potato ~ 5 grams
smart balance 0 grams
steamed broccoli ~7 grams

not counting any fruit drinks i drink through out the day

Total: 48 grams of protein

here is a question, if we were not met to eat meat why would we have evolved with canine teeth, also, why would we have a whole section of our tong dedicated to savory tastes ( found only in meat)!. and why is it that it has been proved countless times that eating meat helps you heal faster or that you need meat!. albeit most people could live with allot less meat in their diet BUT you can't just take meat out of the equation or there will be unseen side effects!. i've eaten meat my whole life and yt i can get over the flew in under three days ( i get it one day, its horrible the next and i recover the next day) i have never had to go to the hospital ( except for the necessary stuff like check-ups and tetanus shots) and i heal from wounds in mere days!. if you want to pose a challenging debate try to get information from less extremely bias sites!.

No we haven't C!. Maybe you have!. Most folks acknowledge that ALL food research is funded by the various sections of the food industry whose only goal is to make $$$!. It's natural to want to believe everything that you agree with but it's a whole other thing to try and push that on someone else!.
